We bought it when our little demon started eating solid foods in addition to milk. That's when you realize how such a small creature can produce so much mess. It's a waste of money to use it when your baby only drinks milk and doesn't smell. (unless yours is a real demon)
The bin has a satisfactory size (although it looks small in the photo) and can hold about 20 diapers for babies aged 6-9 months. Of course, you don't want to let it fill up completely, but you have that margin.
The original refills come in a bag of about 10 meters, which is enough to dispose of 40 diapers for babies aged 6-9 months.

Overall, it does what it's intended for. It seals each diaper separately (you can make two or three turns of the mechanism to seal each diaper even better) and it doesn't make the whole house smell every time you open the bin to dispose of a diaper. It does have a slight odor when you want to empty the bin, but it doesn't reach the smell of a discarded diaper in a regular bin.

The only negative aspect is the cost of the refills, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
However, there are alternative solutions. The refill cassette can be easily refilled either with a bag for storing carpets or with a special bag for this purpose that you can find on Amazon. Do a search on YouTube and Amazon for "tommee tippee refill" and you will find hundreds of results.
You need to dedicate some time to get used to the process, but you save quite a bit of money. Obviously, you won't be able to fit as many bags inside the empty cassette as the machine does with the original refill, or if you try, you will squeeze it so much that it won't come out and won't be functional. So it's a trade-off between cost and convenience.

Personally, a friend recommended this bin to me, but I was hesitant because of the cost. If you calculate it, it costs about double the price of each diaper. In the comments of the refill cassette page here on Scroutz, I saw someone mention the carpet storage bag and I looked into it. I bought the bin (which comes with an original cassette) and 3 more original cassettes and I refill them with a 5-meter carpet bag. The 5-meter bag fits relatively comfortably in the empty cassette and also comes out easily when you use it without getting stuck. On Amazon.co.uk, I found a 200-meter refill that, including shipping costs, is slightly cheaper than buying 40 5-meter carpet storage bags. But you can fill the cassette with as much quantity as you want.

My opinion is that it's not worth buying. I think it's a better idea to spend these 20-25 euros on something else for your baby. Right now, it's filled with chlorine, maybe to get rid of the smell left by the diapers. It emits a very unpleasant odor even when empty. Maybe if you take them out every day to throw them away, it won't retain this bad smell. However, if you have to bother emptying it every day, then you can simply use a supermarket bag, which is easier than opening it, cutting the bag, tying it, and putting it back in.
In summary...
1. It retains a very unpleasant smell, even when closed and empty.
2. I will also mention the handle, which in my opinion should be on the front side and not on the back and so low, so that you can easily move it.
3. Finally, the lid is difficult to open. I believe it should have a pedal to open it, as at that time you are struggling with a baby on a changing table and you definitely need at least one hand to hold it.

  Yes, it holds the smells quite well, it is quite tall and you don't need to bend down, but the cost for the replacement bags is enormous. My baby is 3 months old and we have already spent over 150 euros on replacements. Especially in the beginning, when the newborn has frequent changes and you don't know how to handle the bin properly, they would run out almost immediately. Now, if the child drinks any special milk (ar-ha-formula), the only way to prevent the room from smelling after a change is to move to another house. In summary, if I had to choose again, I would go for those that use supermarket bags, you pay a little more at the beginning but then you don't have to spend 50 euros every month for replacements.
