It does not meet the purpose for which it is purchased at all. Very poor construction materials and bad design. The most you can do is cut a finger instead of potatoes, besides the fact that with the first use, at most the second, the blades bend and the whole thing gets stuck. It's garbage!!! A gift for recycling, it's worth more that way.
USELESS! Stay away!!!! It looks good, but it's not even usable. On the first potato (which was medium-sized), 2 of the horizontal blades broke off!!!! On the first potato!!! What else can I add to the review? Probably nothing... Money wasted!
Unfortunately, it doesn't say much.
I agree with the reviews of the buyers.
It seemed well-made, but unfortunately it has several issues...
You can cut potatoes, but it requires a trick. You have to stick the potato in the grid of knives and then hold it straight by pressing the handle.
Anyway, it's good to write our opinions about products, so we save others from making the same mistake we did.
In the end, it is very important to read reviews before our purchases...
Waste of money. Very cheap and poorly made. I used it once and the blades and chassis got crooked. I should have suspected it from the low price, but I fell for it. Stay away
Unfortunately, from the very poor constructions. I have been using potato cutters for many years, but this particular one, although stainless steel, showed its flaws from the first use. Specifically, a flaw in the construction. The wheels on the side that help move the lever up and down are very small, resulting in them getting stuck from the inside and making cutting impossible.
I will try to change them and see if this is the only flaw.
The whole lever system is poorly designed (possibly a bad copy of a more expensive device), and it requires strength to cut a medium-sized potato.... The worst part is that the blades become crooked, and this is the beginning of the end, because if they become crooked, they create resistance and completely disintegrate... The first blades lasted for two uses. The second ones only lasted for one. I returned it and asked for my money back, which was done. The device is completely "potato".... stay away.
