Description
Semi-automatic espresso coffee machine ES62A by Briel. The coffee is brewed using ground espresso, in the grind size of your choice. This allows you to determine the quantity of coffee placed in the specially designed handle, and press the start button to initiate the extraction process. Of course, each time you make coffee, the handle needs to be cleaned to ensure it is always ready for the next use.
It is a suitable choice for individuals interested in experimenting to achieve the desired taste and texture.
It has a power of 1260 Watts, and it takes a few minutes for the water to heat up for coffee preparation. Typically, a device that heats water quickly has a power of around 1100 Watts or higher. The water tank is removable, making it easy to fill and clean, and it has a capacity of 2 liters. This means it can make approximately up to 33 single cups of hot espresso coffee before needing to be refilled. Additionally, thanks to the milk frother, you can manually mix steam and milk to create foam with the ideal density for your preferred milk-based beverage, such as cappuccino or latte.
Finally, the pressure exerted by the boiler on the coffee for extraction is equivalent to 19 bar. The recommended values for a rich and creamy espresso are typically 9 bar or higher.

Former owner of the Briel. I was and still am satisfied with the machine's performance. Whoever buys it, if they change the pressurized filter basket with a non-pressurized 18g one, they will be amazed by the results it can achieve. I appreciated the machine even more after buying a Lelit Victoria and seeing that it can come close to the coffee quality of a machine that costs 900 euros. Of course, the grinder and the coffee you use also play a role. Whoever buys it should consider getting a 53mm tamper and a grinding mill for incredible results.

Did you find this review helpful? So above they write that it makes coffee like a French one. That's wrong. The machine wants you to play with it. Depending on the coffee you have and the grind you have done, you need to adjust the screw it has in the basket to get the right result. It's not like most machines where you get a ready-made coffee, put it in and you're done. Anyone who doesn't want to deal with it should not buy it. Its construction is plastic and not premium. Is it worth its money? Maybe yes, maybe no. I preferred it for the ten-year warranty and the boiler. Maybe it's worth it. Time will tell.
Edit: after an upgrade with a sage grinder and a non-pressurized basket, the coffee is elevated. The basket that fits exactly is "Double Filter Basket Non-Pressurized for Gaggia & Saeco" 60mm externally and 53mm tamper. See the difference in crema with its own basket full of bubbles.Translated from Greek ·- Coffee quality

Did you find this review helpful?Someone who wants foam in their coffee should not buy this (like all espresso machines). It produces something like a French coffee. Waste of money.

Did you find this review helpful?I bought it because it had a stainless steel boiler and it was made by a company specialized in espresso machines. It is made of poor quality plastic and during brewing it burns the coffee and the foam is nonexistent.

Did you find this review helpful?Really a machine that is worth its money. Initially, it has a 10-year warranty that no one else offers. It heats up quickly and the result of the coffee is impeccable. It does not have a thermoblock but a boiler that you can only find in expensive machines above this cost. The steam, which in most machines I had, could not make frothy milk, is so powerful that it really makes it a game. The only thing that initially concerned me is that while you say one coffee, it stops very quickly and does not come out. Then I read the instructions that state that the water in the boiler returns and that is why this happens. As soon as I set it to 2, it dispensed the dose normally. For this quality of coffee, I expected the machine to be more expensive. If you know about good coffee, I highly recommend it.
