The Kalko burner is enamel, meaning it is the classic burner that has the thermal resistance underneath and the surface around it is made of enamel coating, which results from the application of enamel (glass) onto metal.
It is suitable for use with all types of cookware, while its enamel surface is resistant to high temperatures and does not get damaged from constant exposure to them.
The control for selecting the desired temperatures and settings is done via a rotary switch.
The switch can set up to 7 different temperatures.

It is indeed a sturdy and well-made device, but IT DOES NOT FRY! Neither fish nor potatoes! It does not have the required power.
It was purchased for my mother (a large woman) so that she can cook, for example, "bakaliaros for March 25th", without the house becoming smoky. Compared to gas burners where you need a €5 bottle each time, it is economically worth it 100%.
It has a power of 2000W and the interesting thing is that she prefers it over a ceramic MIELE stove because it has a diameter of 22 centimeters and she likes it.
It may seem expensive, but it is well-made. The ONLY problem is that you have to put rubber pads on the legs underneath because they are metallic and will scratch any surface it is placed on.
The disc that it has around it (the metal ring) is enough to understand how ergonomic it is.
