Literature (European, Latin American, and of course, Argentine), poetry and writing art, intertextuality and "plagiarism", artistic freedom, success, fame, reality and imagination, fantasy, dream, theology, death, suicide, madness, philosophy, time, universe and creation, mathematics, music, language, translation...

These are just some of the topics that Borges and Sabato deal with (or rather discuss), the two sacred monsters of world literature, in their oral (and therefore spontaneous, sometimes unexpected, full of moments of emotional intensity but also awkwardness) dialogues, the Dialogues, as they named them following the Platonic model.

This is an enjoyable summary of the ideas of these two great Argentine writers, a journey into their literary universe and their personal mythology, guided by their compatriot and fellow writer Orlando Barone, who records the conversations, as well as the special moments, little anecdotes and precious "omissions", all of which make up the atmosphere in the meetings of these two outstanding creators.
