Eliza is an eighteen-year-old student in a small coastal town in New England. Beautiful and active, she has the gift of transforming into a real mermaid as soon as she falls into the sea.

However, as she prepares for her high school graduation, Eliza is involved in a serious car accident. When she manages to return to everyday life, the mermaid is now wounded. Her whole life has changed radically.

There are two men close to Eliza. One is Matthew, an old friend from the past, and almost the same age as her. The other is Jaden, her fellow student at the university, and considerably younger than her. The choice Eliza will make between them will not only show if she has accepted what has happened to her, but it will also be a life lesson.
