Description

The Raspberry Pi Pico is Raspberry Pi's first microcontroller board, specifically designed for physical computing.

Microcontrollers are a different type of device from Single Board Computers (like the Raspberry Pi 4 and previous generations of the Pi); they do not run an operating system and are usually programmed to do only one task - although that task can be quite complex and exciting! They are ideal for experimenting with hardware and using as the brain of custom devices, machines, and inventions. It can be easily reprogrammed via USB from a Raspberry Pi or other computer using the C/C++ SDK or the official MicroPython port. RP2040 Designed by Raspberry Pi, the RP2040 features a dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+ processor with 264KB internal RAM and support for up to 16MB off-chip flash.
