September '22. Adriani, a young widow, arrives in Thessaloniki with the rest of the human herd of refugees. Five years old and alone, with two green eyes, magical like her herbs, she will find support in a good-hearted elderly Pontian woman and, as part of the population exchange, she will settle in a Muslim village in Macedonia.
