I bought it on sale and initially I was very happy (I had given it 3 stars), because:
Positives:
Beautiful, well-designed, fits perfectly in my Jewel Rio 180, accurate.
It drops once every 24 hours (green) and twice with a 6-hour interval (yellow) between the first and second drop.Negatives:
Small capacity.
In the larger opening, it drops an amount that barely reaches for the 30 fish I have.
It absorbs moisture and the food flakes stick and nothing falls.
Quick absorption and the food doesn't have time to fall if it has stuck due to moisture.STORY: The first time I set it up to work and I was present (June) it worked great. I had scheduled it to drop once every 24 hours, as I feed. I checked to see how long it lasts without refilling, if the food that falls is sufficient, and so on.
In August, I went on an 8-day vacation (house closed), and when I returned I found it fine, although I noticed that the food was not very dry. I emptied it, dried the container, put new food and set it to drop twice (yellow) to increase the chances of something falling if it doesn't happen with the first drop...
Then I was away for another 10 days (when it rained and there was a lot of humidity) and when I returned things were not very good.
I lost one fish and two others were in bad condition.
The food had stuck in large pieces and could not pass through the small opening, something that might have happened if it didn't turn so quickly and had more time to roll.Personally, I am disappointed. You had one job! If I have to be there to check, feed, and do it myself.
And it's not just the humidity due to the rains, the aquarium itself evaporates 6 liters in 10 days in the summer........However, I read the following in the device information. "For environments with very high humidity, the JUWEL automatic feeder is already prepared for drum ventilation with a commercially available air pump." (Thank you)

WELL! I changed the food to pellets and the feeder now works PERFECTLY and without any problems!!!!!!! This should have been done from the beginning to avoid the bad experience I described above... The food lasts the whole month (definitely longer because I don't fill it completely) with 1 drop every 24 hours with a quantity sufficient for 25-30 small to medium-sized fish. There is no moisture or stuck pellets. I am thrilled!!!! I have had it for 4+ weeks with the batteries it came with in the original packaging, it is really reliable for the money it costs, around 25 euros! Of course, I recommend it only for aquariums with a lid so that the base that comes in the package can be adjusted for ultimate support and application.

The machine works great, it can be programmed to dispense food once or twice a day, or manually whenever we want.
It should be noted that the machine requires the aquarium to have a flat surface lid with a hole in it for installation.
There is a special base included in the packaging on which the feeder sits, with a hole that helps with proper placement and alignment with the aquarium lid hole.
It is suitable for feeding pellets. It can also be used with flakes, but due to humidity, they may stick together and require some attention to prevent clogging.
