I bought it for 180€. I've been running it continuously for three hours, and there is really not much change in overall humidity. Ridiculous! No water tank alarm, nothing! I'm starting to worry if it actually does the job! They said Toyotomi is one of the best brands for dehumidifiers! This morning, I had 80% humidity in my studio. Usually, it's between 65% and 75%, but on rainy days, it's higher. After three hours, it's around 60%, but each room has a different value! I have a 65 square meter studio and this machine is supposed to be for 80 square meters. I don't understand. Not only that, but I've read many reviews for many other products that say their machine lowers the humidity to desired levels in 30 minutes. Maybe I'm disappointed right now because I had a lot of humidity in my studio for a long time and I have a baby coming here all the time and spending time here, so maybe I'm rushing at the moment! If I change my mind about this product, I will edit my review. But for now, it doesn't seem good!
Edits for a more thorough review.
Around midnight; humidity levels were about 55% in the studio. I emptied the water tank after 9 hours of continuous running. It's too noisy to be honest, but if you leave it in the other room, you don't hear it. It makes a loud noise from the fridge.
The machine was running all night and in the morning, the humidity level was 47% in the room where I left it. I set the humidity to 45%, and the other room was 57%, but after I placed it in the other room, that level dropped to 51% very quickly. After an hour, both rooms have 50% humidity. I think it does what it's supposed to do, but it does it very slowly, or my studio was a difficult case. I now have about 50% humidity in my studio and I reached this level from 70-80%! Additionally, I will re-edit this review after a considerable amount of time using it.
On the second night, I turned it off. I'm monitoring the rooms with a hygrometer. In the morning, the humidity levels were 61% and 58%. Approximately a 10% difference if I don't run the machine at night. I placed the machine in the middle of both rooms, and they both have 55% humidity. The dehumidifier itself shows 53%, and that's the best it can do. If I move it into one of the rooms, then it can lower the humidity to 43%, but I haven't seen a lower percentage than that. For one of the rooms, I need 40% humidity, due to the sensitive materials I have. I believe if the building had some insulation, it would work better. It's still very noisy, I can hear it from everywhere and I hate it!
OK, my final review for this machine,
It seems extremely economical. It consumes very little energy, so you don't have to worry about your bill. I had it running for 12 hours a day, and I only had a €10 increase in my electricity. Unfortunately, it's a bit noisy, most of the time I have to turn it off at night. It's not super powerful, but it does its job well. Very large water tank, you don't have to empty it every day or even once a week. It's definitely worth every penny.
