Description

Handheld gasoline brush cutter manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric, featuring a 2-stroke engine with 2.5hp power and 47.1cc displacement. Bought it for 334 euros.
The previous one I had, Ryobi RBC52, was an excellent machine and accompanied me for years, but I bought this one for the island to clean gardens and fields there.
The Mitsubishi is an amazing machine and exudes quality in every aspect.
The motor is powerful and capable of working for hours without interruption.
It has the power to rotate heads with 4 strings.
If it has something negative, it is the Chinese handle, which does not inspire much confidence, but time will show its durability.
It also allows some vibrations to come to the hands, but I will find a way to deal with it.
Another negative aspect is the extremely weak clips in the belt, which open.

On the third day of use, the aluminum handle on the left side broke off! I don't know if it had a defect, but the thickness of the tube wall is very thin! Overall, it doesn't seem to have a sturdy construction. It might be ideal for gardens and flat fields, but for rough terrain, choose something more expensive and of higher quality!

Let me write the first review for this specific brush cutter since I recently acquired it. Before I proceed, I want to tell you that I used to own a Chinese one. However, it started causing damages lately and it was no longer cost-effective, not to mention it consumed a lot of gasoline. So, I purchased the Mitsubishi tle 48 for the reason that it is professional and made in Japan, in order to clean 12 acres with olive trees. Compared to the previous one, it's like day and night. Its price is 315 euros. During its use, I noticed that it is powerful and cuts easily without any effort. It has a heavy sound while working, which gives you the impression that it is a sturdy machine. It consumes minimal fuel, 2.5 liters in eight hours with a 1:50 oil ratio. Approximately one liter per acre in dense vegetation with thick weeds. It doesn't heat up at all and you can work continuously. The fuel tank, which holds 0.9 liters, makes you forget to refill it. It starts smoothly in first gear and you feel that it will never let you down. The handle is a bit uncomfortable and has some vibrations. Also, the throttle is hard, resulting in discomfort in the hand. From what I learned, its shaft is Chinese, but of good quality. After all this, I regret not buying it earlier. Furthermore, its price is value for money because it is reliable and ultimately cheaper than well-known Chinese ones that constantly consume gasoline and have higher usage and maintenance costs. Pay attention, though, to make sure it says "made in Japan".

18/4/2021: I am coming back to add that after ten days of use, the film that is located under the guard and contains the blade broke. This damage was caused by a stone that was forcefully propelled because, as I mentioned before, it is a powerful machine. If you want to replace it, it is not sold separately, but it comes with the whole guard package and costs 25 euros plus shipping. If you buy an imitation, it is not certain that it will fit.

12/8/2023: While I had finished the summer tasks, a few days later, I took it to clean and perform the necessary maintenance. To my surprise, I found out that the gasoline cap was broken all around and had a large crack. I took the cap from a dismantled Nakayama chainsaw, which fit. I started it to see if I solved the problem, but I noticed that the machine had lost its power. It was about to stall. Unscrewing the cap caused it to suck in air and it worked normally for a while. Then, the same issue occurred again. I realized that the air vent hole is small, resulting in creating pressure. I called the supplier from whom I bought it to request a replacement. They didn't have it, so I called the general importer in Athens. They didn't have it either. They advised me to find another one from a store that sells agricultural machinery. I found one from Kawasaki that fit, and thus, I solved the problem.
