Description

Inspector Petros Demertzis finds himself at the Glyfada pier in front of a corpse eaten away by fish. Shortly after, he is notified of another burned body in a ravine on the road to Sounio. When he learns that both bodies are connected to the underworld, the inspector assumes it’s a case of settling scores.
However, things get complicated when the inspector receives a visit from his corrupt MP uncle, who advises him to close the case quickly, as there are people from the "good society" who are getting annoyed. Demertzis goes to investigate the villa of the first victim, where he is approached by a curious and beautiful woman, TV journalist Natalia Borovits, who tells him that the victim was her lover and that she intends to help him with valuable information, but she asks for something in return. Demertzis, considering the case very important for his career, accepts her proposal, not knowing that he is betting on an uncertain gamble of death.
A detective novel with murders, intrigues, and political developments in Athens during the economic crisis, where nothing is exactly as it seems.
