Description

A young man with the fake initial D. visits a well-known and successful psychologist in Athens one afternoon. The problem that troubles him seems common, but for him it turns into an anxious nightmare.

He cannot form a serious and lasting romantic bond, which causes him increasing depression, self-contempt, and anxiety about his masculinity. All his romantic encounters end quickly and disgracefully, without him being able to understand how much he himself is to blame, his luck, or the enigmatic psyche of women for him.

Months of sessions will follow, and on the couch of psychoanalysis, the true past of his family, personal responsibilities, mistakes, and irresponsible traumas will unfold, secrets that play the lives of the guilty and the innocent like marionettes.

Despite the positive therapy that optimistically progresses, life will unexpectedly throw its last card. Like in a film noir, from a certain point onwards, the two men of the story, the middle-aged analyst and the young analysand, will find themselves connected and entangled in a way that no science can resolve.
