The fastest cheap USB stick!
I say cheap... because if you expect speeds above 15mb/sec, forget it.
In transferring small files, it reached up to 20mb/sec. Of course, it doesn't maintain a steady speed, it has fluctuations, but it didn't drop to 0.00 like many other sticks at this price.
As for its reliability, I don't know anything yet, but I rely on the fact that it is Kingston.
Simple plastic construction, but you don't feel like it will fall apart.
Buy without fear!
Two stars only for the price. Desperately slow.
I would not buy it again.
I have bought at least 200 of these that I had kept for storage for 6 months without use; I could read them but not format them or write anything else on them
It's just fine, satisfactorily fast (okay, at least for ME, waiting about 1 hour for 11 GB is good) and it does its job for 5-6 euros. I mean, what did the others here in the comments expect to get for such a price? You get what you pay for! If you want lightning speeds and better overall, pay more! For a simple user who wants to have their favorite movies, documents, ebooks, images, etc. stored somewhere, this flash drive is the best!!! Here some people show charts with speeds, I'm laughing.
This particular flash drive is frankly unacceptable. Average write speed of 35MB/s connected to a "good" USB3 port directly on the motherboard, copying a file from NVMe. It often "plummets" to 0 MB/s before it continues writing. I didn't test the read speed as I wanted it for large files (hence I preferred it in 128GB), where its write speed makes it practically useless. So, 10 euros down the drain. Never mind...lesson learned.
3 stars because it works, beyond that, it is very slow with speeds perhaps worse than USB 2, for very simple use and transfers of small files only.
Very honest stick.. exactly what I needed. I have it in my bag and whenever I need to transfer a file, I have it with me and the job gets done quickly. The speed is great, I have no complaints, it's the best value for money I have found
Cheap and reliable. I have bought several to give to customers and I also use some... so far it has been very good for its price and for the job I need it for. However, if you want something faster, you will have to go for something more expensive...
I bought it knowing that it is slow and simply got it for its price and capacity, a disposable USB that breaks tomorrow won't bother me.
Whoever buys it should be satisfied with the slow data transfer speed...otherwise excellent and high quality
I had this flash drive to transfer movies to watch on TV. After 3 months of use, it gave me the message "the drive is write protected". After endless searching on the internet and many attempts to fix this error, everyone was saying that it is broken and nothing can be done. I will never buy anything from this brand again. I hope I can warn someone else so they don't waste their money
In one year and completely suddenly it appeared writing protection resulting in it becoming essentially useless. This has never happened to me with a USB stick. In the end, you get what you pay for.
I ordered 2 to replace some old USB sticks that I had. I chose Kingston because my previous one was Kingston as well, it has accidentally been washed in the washing machine over 5 times and it still works like a charm after 12 years of use! If anything negative arises, I will come back. For now, it seems okay and I am satisfied with the capacity-price ratio
I bought it because I needed an on the go way to have some heavier files and my conclusion is that it does its job, however it has a major issue. It disconnects regularly while using it. That is, the computer throws it out and reconnects it instantly. I thought the product was defective and returned it, they sent me a new one via Skroutz and the second one does the same. So it's not a random event... Disappointment.
As shown by the benchmark with an average write speed of 7mb/s and read speed of 90mb/s, it is purely a backup USB stick. The write speed is not suitable for everyday use, but for a backup at 15€ for 256gb, I consider it a good value for money
I bought it for PVR/Timeshift use on my television. It's unbelievable how slow it is... It can't write anything from the TV and play at the same time, something that a USB 2 hard drive I had before could easily do. It can't write at 7-8MB/s and read at the same speed simultaneously. And if it's only good for writing Word and Excel files, then 128GB is obviously unnecessary.
The low price is the only consolation.
Not only does it not reach the speeds it claims, but it reminded me of a hard drive I had in 2011! Incredibly slow and the USB 3.2 that it claims to have is simply a scam!
It is a mediocre USB stick which has good build quality made of plastic, does not have a working light when in use like other sticks, and has a relatively low data transfer speed despite supporting 3.0. However, it has a large capacity of 256 GB (actually usable 230 GB) and combined with the low price I bought it for at 15 Euros, it is value for money. It is not intended for demanding users but for someone who just wants to get their work done, transfer large capacity files without rushing! If you want performance, you can pay a little more and get a Sandisk one.
One star less for its average speed.
If you buy it, buy it for its price and capacity.
It's okay for a cheap USB stick, but it doesn't reach the advertised speeds at all. It is MUCH slower.
I give it 2 stars because of the price (6€). It was slow in recording (6 minutes/Gigabyte), it took 5 hours to record 51gb. It only worked once for the recording of 51gb. I hope it doesn't get damaged when I plug it into the next USB port and lose everything.
Very cheap product, poor quality, broke very quickly and is no longer recognized anywhere. Luckily, it is cheap.
I used this USB stick to install Windows (10) on my PC. The preparation and subsequent installation were quick. The USB stick did not heat up during the process. Therefore, I recommend it for creating a bootable USB. However, I have not tested it for file transfer.
For the money, it's a fairly decent stick. I simply plugged it in to transfer some videos and photos. Fast recognition with the computer and also good speed. I recommend it if you just want to transfer simple files!
In writing, it is very slow but in reading, it's okay. For simple things, it's fine and especially at this price.
I expected it to be faster for USB3, it is not suitable for live OS, it is suitable as a storage device
I bought it for movies and I believe it will last a long time. So far, it is being used for movies and I am completely satisfied.
Average experience, probably wouldn't buy it again, because although it is quality in terms of construction and at a satisfactory price, unfortunately it is very slow (10mb/s transfer speed), it doesn't justify the "USB 3.0" label.
After half a year of use, the initial opinion remains: slow, definitely not USB 3.0.
I have it only to store documents and videos from seminars. Only storage, no reading, no copying, and transferring files elsewhere.
Out of the 125GB, I had only used 6GB.
I used it 11 times to store as mentioned. The 12th time I used it, it burned. It died... it doesn't work. That's it.
As a photographer, I have used several USB sticks. I believe that this is the most convenient, fast, and relatively low-cost option. It is the safest choice for me when delivering materials to a client
He does his job just fine, although he is not fast (which is why the price is low). If you want it for professional reasons where you need fast transfer of large files or you simply don't want to wait for your files to be transferred to another, on the other hand, if you just want to fill it with movies or other small files and you don't mind that it's slow, you'll be fine.
