Description

Neoklis Kazazis was a Greek activist for Greece and wrote many books. From the Monastery, Ion Dragoumis urged Paul Melas on January 23, 1903 to organize with the Society Hellenism, of Kazazis, a journalistic campaign in Europe for Macedonia. In another letter, Dragoumis writes to Paul Melas the address of the Society Hellenism to meet Kazazis and receive money from him, which he will continue to send for the organization of the Macedonian Struggle. A characteristic example of Kazazis' political speech is his speeches on Macedonia and Thrace. All his actions aim to strengthen national sentiment, preserve tradition, draw strength from the "glorious" past, implement the Great Idea, and achieve the political and cultural rebirth of Greece. He opposed parliamentarism, even writing a book against this particular political system. He said:
"And in these, despite its popular appearance, the Greek oligarchy has not created anything noble and beneficial for the Greek people for many decades. In a sincere and unbiased analysis of historical events, from the establishment of the Greek state, it is evident that it was not the national interest
