Excellent for the "100€" category.
I used it for 2 months, then I moved on to a more expensive category.
It was used in live conditions with an electroacoustic guitar.
Positives:
-Decent sound quality
-30-hour battery life with one AA battery
-Good range
-Awesome clip for the instrument's belt, better than more expensive systems
-Good build quality for the receiver, metallic and sturdy
Negatives:
-The biggest drawback, in my opinion, which also determines its low price, is that it doesn't have frequency selection. Each product has only one frequency and there is no option to change it. Therefore, you cannot have more than one AKG WMS40 playing simultaneously in the same space UNLESS the second musician has a model with a different frequency (depending on which frequency each one has, they use the distinctive: ism1, ism2, and ism3). If you do some research, you will find the option for these different versions.
-Cheap transmitter construction, even though it is lightweight and sits nicely on the belt, it doesn't feel like you are holding something of high quality
-Specific transmitter-instrument connection cable (mini XLR to 6.3 mm jack), hard to find in Greece, which, combined with its cheap construction, creates insecurity that if it breaks, you will be left without a wireless system until you find another one.
-Misplacement of the volume knob on the receiver, which is pressed by the antenna when you try to close it for storage.
-The transmitter antenna is a bit vulnerable during use
-During the two-month use, there were some interferences that fortunately were resolved with a small adjustment.
Conclusion:
I believe that AKG has worked wonders in this price category. It is the ideal solution for someone who wants to enter the wireless systems and work without major issues.
