It's fun to see the water boiling and lighting up blue, I don't have an opinion on durability and salt resistance since I've only had it for a few days but I am satisfied. The only downside is that the spout doesn't have a steep angle, so when you just want to pour some of the boiling water out and then return it to its original position, it "drips" a little water, it requires a little attention and getting used to.

Simply does the job and heats the water in about 2 minutes and as described (e.g. automatic shut-off), I kept a similar model for about 4 years.
