A young woman attempts to rob a bank. To avoid arrest, she enters an apartment for sale and takes hostage those who are there: the overly enthusiastic real estate agent, a retired couple renovating and selling apartments to fill the void in their marriage, two girls who disagree on everything but are preparing to bring a child into the world together, a cynical bank manager with suicidal tendencies, an elderly woman suffering from loneliness. The police surround the apartment and, as the tension mounts, hostages, the robber, and the police begin to come closer and discover they have more in common than they could have imagined.
