Before I bought it, I asked a question, eventually my question was answered but unfortunately no one answered that the star does not do the job for which it was made. Unfortunately, it's garbage.

I will try to explain to you how it is supposed to work and what it offers but also what problem it has and I hope to help you understand.

    Construction:
This star has a bearing in the center, and screws DOWN under the blade which blade must be 305mm in diameter to fit (you will understand why below). When you press the gas, the blade turns normally and the star underneath can touch the ground... because as I said it has a bearing in the center so the axis that turns the blade turns the bearing and so the star is free to either turn or not turn, if you have it in the air for example at some point it turns, if you touch it down obviously it stops turning and only the bearing in the center turns.

    Where it is useful:
Its use is essentially to be able to touch the head of the trimmer down and cut without fearing that the blade will touch since under the blade is the star which if needed will touch. You move it back and forth like a vacuum cleaner and the blade is above the ground without being able to touch it while the star touches the ground and keeps the rest of the system at the right height. At the same time, since the blade is 305mm it does not go further out than the star so if you touch a wall then the star will touch and the blade which is slightly inside will not touch. So it protects it vertically and horizontally and also compared to the strings it does not damage trees by hitting them because it will not even touch the trunk of the tree (the star will protect it).

Theoretically this should be the best thing for a trimmer and I have even seen videos on youtube with such stars and I was amazed! Nice theory, in "practice" the iron sticks!

    The problem:
The problem is that there is a minimal gap between the bearing and the rest of the star system and although as a bearing it brings little resistance no matter what it has some resistance, so when it is NOT 100% applicable to the star then this resistance is variable... and when one slides more comfortably while the other holds a little more resistance all this you feel in your hand as vibration... it kicks in. When you give gas the whole system starts to vibrate resulting in not only the trimmer slipping from your hands but also many times the blade touching the star at the edge and sparking because the whole system vibrates and rotates vertically in the movement of the blade right-left and so with the elasticity of the blade but also the small gap of the bearing it touches a little at the edge (the star and the blade do not have SUCH a great distance between them)!

I have seen professional stars do incredible work, and they even have an arm to hold the star and not turn even when it is in the air, which however cost as much as a cheap trimmer. This particular one is a cheap imitation and obviously the one and only point that had to be perfect (the bearing) fails and so the whole concept is completely useless.

    ~~
I will try to come up with a solution to see if I can fix the problem and if I succeed I will update. Basically, the core that has the screw to be screwed together with the blade is "loose" in the bearing (it is not one with the bearing) but it is not applicable 100%. I will try to glue the inner screw to the inside of the bearing and hopefully the problem will be fixed.

...if only we had something to say!

The image below is not mine, maybe I will make a video at some point to show it to you, but this is how it is positioned to understand the use for which it is intended.
