Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can

+The remote control is Bluetooth, so you don't need to aim it to change channels or select something. It can be used from another room as well. It takes 2 AAA batteries.
+It includes a 5-point HDMI extension in the package in case you have full ports on your TV or if you have it mounted and it doesn't fit. This can be solved with the extension.
+The remote control has a microphone and voice search capability with Google Assistant.
+The voice search works fine in Greek and English.
+It has 5.5GB of available storage.
+The RAM is good for Netflix, YouTube, and similar apps. It is also okay for small and simple games. However, for demanding games from the Play Store, they run but may have some lagging issues.
+You can connect any Bluetooth headphones and watch with them. It also connects to Xbox, PS4, and other controllers with Bluetooth.
+It includes a cable and a power adapter.
+There is the option to power it directly from the TV's USB port. However, be cautious because if the USB port provides less power, the device may restart frequently. This means that your TV cannot power it properly, so you will need to connect it to a power outlet using the adapter. If your TV's USB port provides 1A, it will work fine. If it provides less (mine provides 0.5A), you will need a power outlet.
+You can install the Smart YouTube TV app, which is essentially YouTube without ads and without paying for premium. It is like the Vanced app for mobile phones. You just need to download an app called Downloader from the Play Store, which will allow you to search and download Aptoide TV. Aptoide TV is a store similar to Google's, but it contains the Smart YouTube TV app. (Obviously, Google would never include this app in its own Play Store because everyone would download it and no one would pay for a YouTube subscription).
+It also works fine with Popcorn Time through the "official" site using the downloader.
+Red Bull TV app with great extreme sports content, including motorsports, cycling, rally, and more.
+Twitch
+Ertflix, which is good, but the latest update of the ERT app prevents videos from starting. So we are waiting for an update from ERT.
+Built-in Chromecast. This means you can screen mirror your mobile phone and choose videos from YouTube, Netflix, Google Photos, and any other app that has cast streaming on your phone. By tapping on the square icon (the cast icon) on your phone, you can project it on the TV.
The maximum resolution is 1080p.
For 4K, look for the Mi Box.
Batteries for the remote control are not included.
It tends to get a little warm, but I don't think it's a problem since even a Chromecast 2 that I had before also got warm.
I have been running it for 3 days for cosmote tv and it is connected to the socket. I am using the application from the playstore. It works for 10-15 minutes and then restarts, I am very dissatisfied. Also, it has poor connectivity even though it shows that it is connected to the internet. When I open youtube, it tells me that I am not connected.
This particular stick is a remarkable choice for those seeking an affordable yet reliable solution. For its price, it truly delivers on its promises. The connection to the TV was extremely easy, without any problems or unnecessary procedures. Since I started using it, I haven't faced difficulties either with its operation or its temperature. Even after considerable use, I didn't notice any overheating or any other technical issues.
Personally, it has made things particularly easier for me, and I believe it was a very good purchase for its price. If someone is looking for an affordable and functional solution, I highly recommend it. However, don't expect high speeds...
Minimal use but most of the time problematic. It freezes quite a bit, delays, disconnects from the remote control until now it has completely given up as it lights up but does not respond to anything. Never again.
Overall, it does its job well. However, sometimes it seems to overheat (especially with this heat, okay, it's not completely unreasonable) and the image flickers. One downside I find is the need for a power supply, but okay, it balances out with its price. I would describe it as value for money.
I would agree with all the negative reviews but... I changed the power supply and it's unrecognizable. Yes, it does raise the temperature but it doesn't freeze or restart. Just use a new generation mobile charger and the freezing issues are gone.
The remote control disconnects constantly for no reason, it lags a lot even just to exit YouTube and go somewhere else, it lags for no reason, it's a piece of garbage and a half, it also heats up a lot after literally 5 minutes of use with no apps open.. I'm really very disappointed! Don't buy it, spend another €20 and get the XIAOMI TV BOX. And now it has disconnected for good, I put brand new batteries from the box and nothing
The worst garbage I have ever bought in my life! Useless in all its functions, youtube, netflix, amazon prime, Disney, and Chromecast! It freezes, breaks frames, buffers with a 200mbps connection and overall, luxury garbage!
To top it off, the remote control disconnects for no apparent reason and does not work at random intervals from the device.
Never, ever again Chinese.
I have bought a total of 3. Two for myself and one for a friend of mine. I installed all of them. Unfortunately, the 2 that I have have the following problem: they randomly reboot and then the Bluetooth remote disconnects from the mi stick. This happens about once a month. So, the remote doesn't work. To overcome this issue and reconnect it, I have to do various tricks such as continuously rebooting by unplugging the power and waiting for about 15 minutes. Sometimes it works on the first try, other times it doesn't, and I have to reboot again and wait for 15 minutes. Of course, I can use my mobile phone as a virtual remote control through apps like Google Home.
My friend has never experienced this problem, which surprises me.
Other than that, it works perfectly. I have turned my 20-year-old Samsung TV into an Android TV.
Edit SOS after 2 years:
I read a tip in a review for the mi box s about the issue with the remote control sometimes becoming inactive. I tried it on both of my devices and it worked on one! So, the solution is as follows: Change the language from Greek to English US and the above-mentioned problem with the remote control is solved!!
After this tip, I give it 5 stars!
It was placed on a second TV for a room that was not smart. Fast connection, no glitches. Good quality of image and sound. Fast system updates to keep it running smoothly. The only drawback I faced was that when I tried to use it with the HDMI extension provided by the company in the device's packaging, it caused glitches. While when there was a direct connection without the extension, it worked fine!
I proceeded to purchase it 2 years ago so that the little one could watch Youtube and Disney+ mainly in a room with a non-smart TV. Also, it was a good idea to take it on vacation for the same reason.
After 4-5 months of use, and with the continuous software updates, I believe that the 1GB capacity is not enough. The temperature it rises as well as the lags due to this and the capacity, affected almost 90% of the UI (menu, navigation) to an annoying degree. Also, it does not offer any other way of use in case you lose or forget the remote control (e.g. universal control or via bluetooth).
Due to the above and for the money I still see it making, I might not easily recommend it.
It needs to be literally next to the router to work properly, it has frozen a couple of times, however it has great screen quality and variety of applications
I have had it for about two years. Maybe in the first few days or even for a while it may seem good, you might fool yourself and say, "Well, others use it heavily, but I will just watch Netflix and YouTube..."
However, in the end, no matter what you try to do to help the situation (deleting cookies, reinstalling, deleting apps that reinstall themselves, etc.), it will still freeze endlessly, it will still overheat, the Netflix image will still stay at 1-7%, and the remote control still won't respond to anything...
3 out of 5 times that I sit down to watch something, I encounter a major issue that cannot be resolved, so I either close it or watch YouTube
DO NOT EVEN APPROACH IT FOR AN IDEA
Terrible, within a two-day period it was constantly freezing to the point where it wouldn't even work and would disconnect after a quarter of use on Netflix.
I have had it for 2 days, I have passed stemio Disney netflix prime and I have not encountered the slightest glitch! I have also installed some external apk and so far it works perfectly. I will come back for any updates.
The best there is! It's the only one I've tried that works as it should, Cosmote Tv, ant1+ and any other app I've downloaded, maybe because it's xiaomi behind it. It's worth it because I have it with me wherever I go, I plug it into a TV and continue watching whatever I was watching, etc. For its price and what it offers, it's flawless! I have 2 and I've recommended it to many of my friends and they have also found it convenient.
Wasted money, better get something else if you want to watch Netflix, etc. By the time the app opens, you're already bored. The remote disconnects and overall nothing works properly
- Very mediocre
- Heats up easily
- It is slow... in everything... from browsing through menus... to opening applications
- It disconnects on me, and when it is connected, the speed is neither stable nor fast
- It has quite a few bloatware programs
- You need to sideload apps to stream decent content
- It is behind on Android and will not be upgraded
- It does not work with all USB power supply ports on televisions
- The power supply cable it comes with is small... and it does not have an adapter
It may NOT COST a lot of money, but its performance definitely does not match even its low cost - I do NOT recommend it!
Really one of the most useless things I have bought, we are used to Xiaomi as a reliable company, but here it really is the definition of wasted money, Netflix keeps freezing all the time, the network doesn't connect. You unplug it from the socket and plug it back in and it opens after 10 minutes
It suddenly broke down. It throws me to the screen that says "Can't load android system..." and gives me 2 options (try again and Factory Data Reset). Even if I proceed with the Factory Data Reset, it gets stuck there forever and nothing happens (I left it all night several times). So at this moment, the USB stick has an unsolvable problem and I will have to go and buy a stick from another company. The fact that it broke without anything being done to it forces me to give it one star. It's a shame because I have been a Xiaomi fan for years and I have never had any problems with dozens of other products from the company. Of course, I will continue to buy Xiaomi products but I will stay away from the USB sticks.
I bought the TV stick mainly for Netflix, screen mirroring from Disney+, and overall screen mirroring from my tablet or phone. Initially, it takes 3-4 minutes to turn on and when it goes to the home screen, even though it appears to be open, the remote is unresponsive for another 2-3 minutes. Most of the time, the screen mirroring freezes (with 200mbps) and rarely appears on the screen mirroring list. Netflix plays in decent resolution and rarely freezes. And after 45 minutes to 1 hour of viewing, the stick literally overheats. And as if all that wasn't enough, after 4-5 months of use, when plugged into the socket, it constantly restarts on its own all the time
I had bought 2, one for home, one for the vacation house. With moderate use of the home one, it broke due to overheating (and I always unplugged it). Luckily, it happened before the two-year mark and they replaced it. I was thinking of giving the other one away, but it hadn't broken yet. Until both of them broke again and now they are out of warranty.
It's not bad, relatively good image, good sound, maybe for someone with less usage. What happens is that it overheats and eventually burns the circuit board. It's a two-year investment with little use. More difficult than expected...
Oh! And mirroring from another device is almost impossible. It takes a couple of tries, with every possible method and application, it's incredibly frustrating and time-consuming.
It constantly crashes, every time I try to use it, it asks me to log in... If you want to test your patience just to watch a little YouTube, buy this product...
Update: after some time of use, I have started to like it, it does the job it promises but definitely not worth the money... find a cheaper one..
Extremely slow, overheats too much and throws you out, doesn't catch signal at all. Overall, it has the whole package to ruin your mood. Very bad product from a company that I appreciate
Garbage. It overheats and starts acting crazy. It does the same thing to everyone. Stay away. (However, the old TV box was perfect, which is why we bought the smaller TV stick.)
