Description

The Trilogy is the war cry of a rebellious young man of the sixties. And just like the rock music of that period, the Trilogy managed, thanks to its authenticity and the universality of its themes, to keep this voice alive and always disruptive over time.

In "Leaf", Nature takes revenge on the first victims: the residents of an apartment building who reconcile themselves with its destruction.

In "Well", the Earth takes revenge on those who deny it, confident in the illusion of technology.

In "Annunciation", Life takes revenge on those who place their hopes in another life.

"Leaf" is a manifesto equivalent to the most radical contemporary Ecology; "Well" is a prophetic parody of the post-industrial era with echoes from Dostoevsky's "House of the Dead"; "Annunciation" is a bold denunciation of the capitalist world as a universal fraud.

In parallel with Stratis Tsirkas' "Trilogy" and Aris Alexandrou's "Box", Vasilis Vasilikos' "Trilogy" is recorded as one of the most important literary works of the post-war period in the twentieth century.
