First of all, I used to own the JBL Flip Essential 2 and the Marshall Emberton, and I decided to try this one since it has been on sale for 60€ at a large chain store for a few days now. I wanted a speaker for my room, not for the beach or outdoor use, but I wanted it to be stereo, which is why I chose this one. As for the sound, it's just okay, nothing special, even though LG advertises that it was made with Meridian. Personally, I wanted it for music and podcasts, and it works well for that. It's not like the JBL, which has a distinct bass, but it lacks in other areas. On the other hand, the PL5 has good sound and, of course, it has bass, but it's just at normal levels with a more natural sound in all ranges, such as vocals, midrange, and highs. Furthermore, I think it's good that it has a 3.5mm aux input and the lights, if someone likes that.
However, I want to mention an issue that bothered me quite a bit, and that is the automatic shutdown that another user has also mentioned. Unfortunately, it doesn't shut down like other speakers after 15 minutes of inactivity without music, and here's the confusion... because within the app, there's a manual that says it shuts down after 6 minutes without music via Bluetooth and after 6 hours without button presses and music via aux. However, on the LG website, it says it shuts down after 6 hours with both methods, and yes, the reality is that it stays on for 6 hours even if no music is playing.
Now, to summarize, I believe that the 60€ I paid is the maximum it's worth, it's not worth more, especially compared to the competition, because obviously if it goes back to its original price of around 100€, you can find much better options for that money.
Super easy connection with Apple devices. If you use the LG app, you will have many customization options for an even more user-friendly experience.
Amazing sound, with bass and excellent quality that is not distorted by high volumes. You will enjoy music even in your living room. And don't even get me started on how great it is for a room. Excellent experience even in an open space. Totally value for money!

Good sound, good quality blah blah. I will tell you an incident that happened. I left it outside for 20 days and it endured snow (the days that Elpida came), rain, and I don't know what else, and it survived. VFM period.
The speaker is excellent. It has a crystal clear sound with very good bass-treble separation and is very powerful in terms of volume. With its battery, you forget that it needs charging, but it is a bit heavy. The construction, however, is excellent. It is definitely worth the money.
