This book is a selection of the most important, in the opinion of the editor, critical texts written about the work of Odysseas Elytis from its first appearance until today. Through the reading of these texts, the reader has the opportunity to better understand the evolution of one of the most important Greek poets of our century and at the same time to study the reception of his work by Greek critics. The extensive introductory study by Mario Vitti, which describes and comments on this journey, can be read as a subchapter of a history of modern Greek literary criticism.
