For its price, it is small (in diameter) and weak fan, and for this reason, it gets 4 stars. As you can see in the photos, I am a Xiaomi fan, but I don't miss the opportunity to be a strict critic, as we are not talking about something cheap or discounted compared to the competition, but about regular prices - maybe even a bit steep in this case.
I bought it in 2022 to keep mosquitoes away at night since we don't have screens on the windows yet. It doesn't repel most mosquitoes beyond 2 meters as it only creates a light breeze, and all this on the 3rd speed setting. The 2nd and especially the 1st speed setting are for babies, I don't consider that air or coolness, unless we are talking about the month of March/April when it's not very hot yet and you just want a little bit of air. Literally, I never use those speed settings, I find them completely useless personally.
The fan is inadequate for hot August nights, therefore. If it is your only source of coolness and you don't mind the noise, go for a heavy-duty floor fan like the Primo with a 50cm propeller for the same price, and it won't bother you with mosquitoes, and it will also provide cool air from the window/balcony door on nights when there is no breeze!
As for the expected positives, which correspond to 100% of its price, the 120-degree angle it rotates is great for when you gather in the living room, and the remote control from the Mi Home app.
It's borderline worth its price (€58 as of 30/08/2022), but I expected the 3rd speed setting to be much stronger for this price, to tell the truth. Finally, I should mention that there is no reason for the existence of the Standing Fan 2 for €10 more, as we are talking about the same wattage, and therefore, the extra speed (4th) it offers will be as powerful as the 3rd speed of the 1C.
Update 22/6/2023: I took off the front cover to clean it from the dust that had accumulated over a year of use because it had gotten quite dusty. Initially, I removed the screw, took off the protective cover that gives access to the blades, used a vacuum cleaner to remove the excess dust, and then the protective cover and blades went into the bathtub with a sponge and soap. After everything was done and dried, the fan worked much quieter than before, literally like I had just put it in front of me on the first day. It slightly improved the airflow, but nothing drastic. I know very well that it won't cover me during the hot afternoons of August, unfortunately. However, keep in mind the annual thorough cleaning because it seemed to help quite a bit.
