It is very nice and at a perfect size for a child, but when hot food is placed at the bottom or heated in the microwave, the lid gets suctioned and won't open at all. At school, where they heat the food, they have had to open it with a knife or other objects, and it has been damaged from the effort on the side. For cold food, it is just fine
