From the death of Stalin and the rise of Khrushchev to power in 1953 until Khrushchev's resignation in 1964 and shortly after, the world is shaken by a series of revolutionary and liberation movements, which would have been difficult to appear during the Stalinist period. Not because there were no rebels and oppressed at that time, but because Stalinism never favored local conflicts of a leftist nature and spontaneous revolutionary movements, perhaps out of fear that they would not be under, or would escape from, its control.
