  Their biggest issue is that they do not close securely. They unlock easily, but when you try to lock them, many times the hooks do not "bite", resulting in the baby being able to open it with a simple movement. You have to secure it in a specific way, listen for the characteristic click, and only then can you be sure. This click, of course, is loud, which is negative if you have it next to a sleeping baby.
  Overall, I recommend it for areas that are not frequently used, for greater safety. In areas where it is opened 10 times a day, it will frustrate you and many times it will not lock properly.
