Description

A small town like so many others... and then, one day, an abuse of power... a police check that takes a bad turn... His name was Said. He was fifteen years old. And he is dead.

I, Matia, eleven years old, did not know him. But then, I saw hatred surrounding me, sorrow and madness consuming my family until its dissolution...

Later, while strange individuals resembling cops hover around me, I recognized Said's face painted on the neighborhood walls. Graffiti with red paint and slogans demanding justice!

And at that moment, the people of the neighborhood, the mothers, the sisters, the friends, will step in to break the silence.

So I, Matia, an eleven-year-old boy, gather the pieces of the puzzle, try to understand, and see that, even dead, the past is never truly buried!

And no one said this is fair...

Book more political than noir (it has noir touches, but its framework is purely political-social). It is a gripping read, as the developments and actions of the characters do not allow you to put it down.
The whole structure is original, as the reader follows the plot unfolding fragmentarily through the thoughts of the characters and events that influence it. It is definitely a story with a key, which the author does not directly give to the reader, only after the first 3 chapters of the book, so it requires a little perseverance initially.
I particularly appreciated the remarkably mature thinking of the protagonist, 11-year-old Matias!
