As previously mentioned, the sand is very good. It truly eliminates odors and does so very quickly, which was the main reason I decided to try it and I was not disappointed. What puzzles me is that from order to order, the sand is slightly different, and I have purchased it over 10 times from various stores. While it usually has a light gray color, with medium-sized grains, very little dust, and a few blue grains mixed in, I have received it twice completely white, with much finer grains and more dust. Also, this white sand doesn't seem to do as good of a job, as at this moment the cat's litter box still smells even though she "visited" it almost 2 hours ago! The sand may eliminate odors, but something smells fishy in this situation...
I have been buying it for over a year. With the first packages, I was very satisfied. However, with the latest orders, from 2 main stores, the sand is a complete disappointment. The clumps do not form but turn into mud. This results in, besides the difficulty in cleaning, a lot of sand being wasted, the duration of the package (10lt) being reduced, and me being forced to buy it much more often. While before, despite its high price, it was more economical due to its quality, now it is an expensive low-quality sand. I will try it one last time, from another store, and if it presents the same problem, I will change brands.
After years, I finally found a better and more economical brand! It stank for so many years, had a bad shape in the litter... the balls were terrible and I struggled to clean them up every time. But the worst was the smell, no matter what fragrance I used. Fortunately, the kids at the pet shop in my neighborhood found a more affordable and much higher quality product... I was a victim because I believed that the more expensive it was, the better it would be. I didn't even dare to consider other alternatives since the expensive one was terrible...
Sometimes the balls break and small pieces fill the litter box, but the reason I prefer it is because it doesn't create dust and my cat stopped coughing as soon as it comes out, while with all the others I've tried, it coughs. And I have tried quite a few
The best clumping. Unfortunately, in the summer because it doesn't have deodorant, the toilet smells. Maybe I will prefer it again in the winter when I didn't have a problem
It was a brand that I trusted for years and even just a month ago, I had chosen it again. But I think its quality has deteriorated. The chips no longer become crispy, and when you try to clean the fryer, they dissolve and become a wet mud. Also, it no longer retains the smell of the chips, they smell like anything. It no longer has the quality to make the chips crispy, and it's a problem. Additionally, it has become much more expensive for what it offers. I get better results with a cheaper alternative.
The best sand ever.
I have changed about 15 companies for sand and I fell in love with this one.
I have the litter box in my room and I was looking for a sand that would cover the smells because I couldn't stand it anymore.
This one did it and more. Not only did it cover the smells, but it also gave the room a sense of freshness and the whole room smelled clean. My cat did her business just fine and I didn't see her bothered by the strong smell.
The clumps form immediately and it doesn't even raise much dust when I put it in.
Sure, it still sticks to my little one's feet, but that can be solved with a special mat.
I will never change brands again, I will always get this one.
I first bought it years ago and it was the best litter.
A few months ago, I noticed a strong unpleasant smell coming from the litter. It didn't control odors at all, and instead of solidifying the urine, it turned into mud.
I threw away that particular package and bought another one.
I had the same issue again.
Finally, I realized that the store I was buying from was responsible. The faulty packages all have Russian letters, probably imported from Bulgaria to make more profit.
However, these packages have no relation to quality.
So, if they bring you a package with Russian characters instead of English ones, turn it back and find another store.
After 3 years of continuous purchase of this specific brand and all their colors, I have to say the following. I will start by saying that the negatives are much more than the positives, which should not be the case considering the price, as it is the most expensive on the market. The fact that it smells excessively is not good, it may indeed freshen up the space and give it a different breath, but for sensitive noses of cats, it is not good at all. It also smells so strongly that after digging, they also smell and lick themselves obsessively to get rid of the artificial smell. I have noticed that due to the intense smell they inhale, they get stressed. Another major negative is that I find gravel everywhere as it sticks to their paws and they transfer it. I should note that I have closed litter boxes with top access, and it is extremely difficult for gravel to come out from digging, no matter how strong it is. However, I don't want to be unfair, there are positives as well, and one of them is the perfect clumping for urine and feces. They become solid rocks with no dispersion. Finally, I would like to say that the litter boxes are cleaned daily, at least 4-5 times a day, and I have no idea how it would be if the feces or urine were left in the litter box for hours or even days. However, I think that in terms of odors, no one would have a problem no matter how long they stayed. Now, as for the cats, I don't know how healthy it is or how much they like to smell sand with such intense odors. Also, when digging, it raises a lot of dust, which is completely unhealthy for the cats. 3 stars from me, and I think I am being quite lenient
Good clumping (not always), yes to dust but compared to others, it is much smaller in quantity but the biggest disadvantage is its intense scent. In long-haired cats, their fur smells like you poured a bottle of cologne on them all day, resulting in intense licking and scratching after using the litter box. Also, there is a considerable amount of scattered granules in the house.
We have been using it for a year now and we are very satisfied. We keep it in the bathroom and it smells very little. You need to put a sufficient amount because if the chips reach the bottom, they don't make good bubbles and stick to the bottom. We, for example, put about half a box when we change it and then we refill until the package is finished.
I have been using Everclean litter for 10 years, of which the last one, Fast Acting Odour, but in the last year at least, I find it changed for the worse. Yes, it doesn't smell and doesn't create dust, but what can I do when the clumps dissolve, nothing like how it used to be. Moreover, if you compare its price, it's not worth it at all.
Excellent!!!
I have tried other litters, but I always come back here!!
If you use it "correctly," it will last a long time and you will have a satisfied cat!
It is more expensive, but it is worth every euro!!
With one cat and daily cleaning, the 10L didn't last even two months. It was the best litter I have tried (strong clumping instead of mud at the bottom, smelled nice), but I believe that even so, the price is not justified for me to buy it permanently. I will experiment with cheaper options and maybe come back here!
I have 4 cats, the best thing I've seen... it turns out to be more economical than buying regular litter. Very good solution since the house no longer smells and the cats don't stop going inside. It leaves a nice feeling in the space... as much as I thought about it at first because of the price, now I will only buy this one.
The only thing that is okay (for me) is the smell. From the dust and pebbles outside, I don't see any significant difference compared to other brands. Also, it does indeed (I saw it in a comment here) stick together with a large amount of sand every time and empties quickly.
The most overrated. Lots of dust, pebbles everywhere in the house while after each urination you remove almost 1 liter of sand outside as they become whole bricks. Result to constantly refill and in 10-15 days the whole package is finished
Overpriced, I would say. Yes, it forms compact clumps, yes, it is easily cleaned in terms of odor, but it is not something exceptional. Also, it sticks quite a bit to the paws and despite the fact that there is a litter mat outside, it still fills the room with dust. No significant difference in dust compared to other branded ones at almost half the price.
Amazing! It absorbs odors perfectly and due to the very tight clumps, after cleaning, there is no trace of dirt in the sand. This results in not needing to change the entire sand almost never (just a supplement is needed) as it always remains spotlessly clean. This also makes it quite economical, despite the higher cost compared to cheaper sands that often require replacement!
The first one I tried, due to the good reviews! It's worth every euro! I live in a small apartment and it never smells anything. Even when I clean it, I don't get any bad smell. It lasts a long time because it is adhesive and you only throw away the dirty part. I won't try any other, I am completely satisfied.
(I am referring to the fast odor)
By far the best litter I have ever tried. Even if they are buried, they don't smell at all, and even if left on top, they quickly dehydrate and don't smell afterwards. I have the litter box in the living room and it never smells (although many little stones come out).
The sand is simply amazing! Having bought several, searching for one that doesn't smell and doesn't turn into "paste" when you clean it, this one left me speechless! As for the price, things are just right there. With each cleaning, the amount of sand you throw away is literally less than half compared to any other. So basically, it is cheaper as it lasts twice as long! The odors disappear even during cleaning, it only smells like soap! In short, I highly recommend it!
(Latest update, check at the end. Spoiler: there is a better one)
I have tried only 3 different litters, so I'm not an expert. One with concrete (only when there is a financial problem - stay away), one Kitty Sand crystal (quite better and I thought I would stick with it), until I read comments about this litter and decided to try it. I saw the light. It's a different category of product. It doesn't smell like No1 or No2! Even if there is some leftover uncovered, the smell is minimal! Additionally, you don't need to hold your nose closed while cleaning the litter box. The waste has turned into rocks and doesn't smell at all.
I will definitely keep buying this one from now on. Obviously, I recommend it :)
------- Update (Sep 2023)
1) I continue to buy this litter, of course. It is very important to get a litter mat with the exit from the litter box, otherwise you will find grains even on the couch. With the mat, there is no longer an issue.
2) If it is not cleaned on time, urine may not be completely absorbed and reach the bottom. In this case, the litter does not clump and becomes muddy at that spot.
3) Another advantage is that it is a good choice for a small kitten. It is quite gentle, but the litter is so absorbent that it forgives mistakes.
4) Regarding the smell: The fresh litter is so enjoyable for my cat that when I change it, he always goes in for inspection and happily mixes it without doing anything.
------- Update (Oct 2023)
After reading a comment from a friend here, I tried Reflex Activated Carbon. It is better and cheaper. So, I'm switching to Reflex and I rate Ever Clean 4/5. For more details, read my comment below Reflex.
It never smells... you never throw it away... you just refill...
When I use a supplement, the space (kitchen) smells nice.
In the end, it turns out to be much more economical than other clumping ones.
