I have been buying ground flaxseed from the supermarket for a long time. This particular product is cheaper, although in a much inferior packaging. Especially, ground flaxseed oxidizes easily and requires careful storage, in an airtight container and basically in the fridge/freezer. The buyer of this particular product should pay attention to what is stated on the packaging, that this product cannot be consumed raw, but only added to food. In contrast, what I buy from the supermarket states that it can also be used in salads. Therefore, the production process of this particular product takes place under conditions that do not ensure its safe consumption without thermal processing. I probably wouldn’t buy it again. Rather, in the future, I will prefer to buy whole seeds and grind them myself in the blender as I already do with chia.
