It is not genuine but it is a very good alternative to the genuine one. Good range, fast response. Good plastic quality. Some minimal functions that the genuine one has are missing

Today I received the Samsung BN59-01259B remote control. It is ready for operation without any programming. It is very fast in terms of range, no comparison to the original one, which was huge and very slow in comparison to this one. It is small, fast, sleek, has weight, and a beautiful touch. It truly deserves its money.

Its not the original but close enough. It worked right off the box no hassle. Since the beginning though something sounded loose inside. Occasionally and quite randomly seem to stop working. Shake a bit and will be find. Anyway to make long story long it turns out that the batteries come out of the battery holder and make intermittent contact. The fix was rather simple and not elegant. Just shove some cotton or toilet paper between the cover snd the batteries to keep them in place. It has worked fine so far.
Except that no complains.

What you pay, you get! It works just fine! One small downside is that it slips like material and I don't know how much it will withstand with the kids.

The 2 buttons on top as shown in the photos (123) & (extra) were not working on the TV! A minor inconvenience of course! Otherwise, for 12 euros, it's great!
After 3 days of use and many falls on the floor due to small children, I have to say that it is very durable!

As a construction, it gives a "plastic" feeling and appears less durable than what came with the TV. Additionally, 40€ is not a negligible amount of money.

On the positive side, it synchronized and worked flawlessly without range issues. Note that it does not have a voice button like the original Samsung one. It did not bother us (we never used it) and the lack is visible in the photo, but due to the similarity, someone might not notice it.
