Becoming a leader is the most critical choice one can make - it is the decision to step out of darkness into light.
We have never needed enlightened leadership as much as we do now. Surely, this cliché phrase has been heard many times throughout the centuries, but in the second decade of the twenty-first century, humanity poses a tremendous threat to its own existence, as we blindly open gaping holes in the web of our life-sustaining environment. We can no longer turn to our governments, as well-intentioned as they may be, or to anyone else other than ourselves, to provide answers to the great problems of our time. Yet, even if we turn to ourselves, we must go beyond the constant "clutter" of the ego, beyond the tools of reason, to that calm, peaceful place within us: the kingdom of the soul.
