As a skin cleanser
- Fights inflammation and kills bacteria, preventing acne.
- Relieves and treats infected pimples.
- Do not use medicinal alcohol regularly to avoid drying out the skin.
As a skin disinfectant
- Create your own hand disinfectant by mixing 1/2 tablespoon isopropyl alcohol, a few drops of tea tree oil, and half a cup of aloe gel.
As a body deodorant
- Rub a little medicinal alcohol on the skin under your armpits with a cotton ball.
- Be careful not to use this method too often to avoid skin irritation.
As a disinfectant for bed bugs
- Mix medicinal alcohol and water in a 1:1 ratio in a spray bottle.
- Spray a light mist on your mattress and pillows.
- Let them dry and clean them with an electric vacuum cleaner.
- Wash the bed frame with hot pressurized water and let it dry under the sun for 30 minutes.
- Also, spray the alcohol solution you made earlier under your bed and around the bed frame.
- When doing this task, wear a mask on your face to avoid inhaling it and open your window to let air into the room to remove the alcohol.
As a cold sore remedy
- Apply medicinal alcohol to the sore using a cotton ball twice a day until it heals.
As a nail polish remover
- Use medicinal alcohol to dissolve the stubborn chemicals found in nail polishes.
As a foot antifungal
- Mix equal amounts of medicinal alcohol and vinegar.
- Wet a cotton ball with this mixture and place it on the infected nails.
- Wrap the cotton along with the nail with a small bandage or tape to keep it in place.
- Leave it there for about 30 to 45 minutes.
- Finish by gently scrubbing the nail with a soft toothbrush, rinsing the area afterwards.
- Use this recipe once a day for several days.
As a foot deodorant
- Spray the soles of your shoes with a mixture of medicinal alcohol and a few drops of lavender essential oil.
- Place them in a sunny spot to dry.
As relief after mosquito bites
- Apply a little alcohol directly on the affected area.
- Gently massage the area for 1 minute.
- Wait for 10 minutes and then rinse the area with cool water.
- Finish by applying some fresh aloe gel.
- Repeat as needed for subsequent bites.
As a lice treatment
- Do not wash your hair on the days leading up to the treatment.
- Place your head over the bathtub and pour medicinal alcohol on it, being careful not to let it get near your eyes, mouth, and nose.
- Using your fingers, massage around your scalp and along your hair.
- Leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes to take effect.
- Use a comb for lice, brush your hair, and remove all the lice.
- Finish by washing your hair.
- Use this treatment once a week for two months.
