The Vigor 2915ac of Draytek is a mobile router, a device that connects other devices (e.g. computer, mobile, television) wirelessly, and shares internet access. It receives internet access through the integrated modem and uses the mobile network by installing a SIM card. The SIM card needs to have an active data connection.

It connects to the 4G network, which offers significantly higher speeds than 3G. To operate at this speed, the device needs to have corresponding coverage from the mobile network in the area we are in.

This provides us with anonymity and access to content with geographic restrictions. VPN services are usually paid with a subscription.

Additionally, the NAT firewall hides the addresses of all devices on your local network behind a single address, increasing security. With MAC address filtering, it allows specific devices to connect based on their unique MAC address, excluding any device with a MAC address that has not been defined as acceptable.
