The only main negative, as others have mentioned, is that it does not come with a charger, only the charging cable. Other than that, three light settings that are perfect, LED lamp that never needs changing, easy transition from one brightness level to another with a simple touch. I mainly have it on my bed for reading but also as a light. Incredibly useful. I haven't used it as a desk lamp. Very satisfied with the purchase. Over a year of use.

CAUTION with powerbanks!
If you power it with a powerbank, you should keep in mind that usually after a few minutes the powerbank stops supplying power because the LED draws very low current, and the powerbank goes into sleep mode.
So, you need to have a powerbank that can provide very low current, like for charging earpods.
In the new Xiaomi powerbanks, you press the powerbank button twice in a row, and it provides very low current for about two hours. I tried it and it worked.
In an old model Xiaomi powerbank that I tried, it didn't work.

In terms of brightness, it is very good. It has 3 intensity levels that you can adjust (low, medium, high). However, it does not work independently. It needs to be constantly connected to the computer with the provided USB cable, otherwise it is completely useless.. What a shame. It does not come with a 220V adapter. The cable only has a USB type-A plug, so it can be directly connected to a computer.
