I have covered about 200km and I can say that if someone is looking for up-tempo training shoes, suitable for interval training and even races, they are a very decent and affordable option. Let me clarify that my first few kilometers with them were problematic and it took a period of adjustment, but the shoes "opened up" and softened in their fit after a few kilometers. The fact that I got them a bit small also played a role, I would recommend at least half a size larger than what one wears in Nike or Saucony.

At a pace of around 5:00"/km, for me, during an Easy Run, the feeling is somewhat dull. They get the job done, but somewhat mechanically and perhaps they are a bit too firm for the current standards. However, when you start increasing the speed (4:30"-3:30"/km), then the shoes truly transform and come alive. They have a very fast transition and you feel the confidence to increase your pace. I feel them much more cushioned at a fast pace than at a slow one. Also, although they are neutral, I feel that they provide sufficient stability, at least for runners who are not looking for something very supportive.

Finally, both their materials and finish appear to be of good quality, which makes you wonder how they are priced so low. I hope they will last long and that the relatively recent Lightstrike foam does not deteriorate suddenly. The only negative aspect is that their laces come undone very easily. At prices around €50, they offer incredible value for money, as long as you know what you are looking for in them.

Purchased on April 1st, I have done slow tempo runs (6:30-6:45 min/km) for 35 km to break in my feet, etc. I have done mixed routes, both asphalt and sand in the forest, and one run in the rain.

Well, the advantages are definitely the weight. The shoes are extremely lightweight and currently the lightest on the market, along with a HOKA model that I saw. The sole is also the same, the continental rubber provides decent grip. The heel drop is 29mm compared to the Boston's 26mm (which will help someone with a few extra pounds).

The upper mesh did not impress me, it is too elastic and when it gets wet, it becomes very loose, causing the foot to float. The tongue does not have any padding, forcing you to tighten the laces, which results in a bit of discomfort after 5 km. I did not like the lightstrike material at all. Despite the 29mm heel drop, it does not provide the same energy return as the boost material. It is noticeably a harder shoe and not suitable for long runs. The back of the heel is simply unacceptable, it feels very loose (the foot moves in and out as you run), it is nothing compared to the locking system of the Boston and Adios, which in my opinion is top-notch.

Overall, it is a mediocre shoe for light jogging up to 5 km, for treadmill or gym use. Those who have had the Boston and Adios should stick with them, as the boost material is far superior.
