Description

Dinos Hristianopoulos writes about his city, Thessaloniki. Starting from his childhood, his teenage years, and the following years. The origin of his parents and their settlement in Thessaloniki. Through the pages of the book - characterized as autobiographical texts - he simultaneously records his life in his fateful and beloved city, which, as he stated in an interview some time ago, "stuck like an oyster to a rock".
The book, sold out for a long time, is now released in a second, remade edition, by the poet. Divided into twenty-six sections, it places Thessaloniki at the center of his life and art, starting from his childhood years.
The book is accompanied by rare photographic material from the poet's archive.

Some of the sections of the book:
"My parents. My childhood years", "Behind Agia Sophia", "An old interview", "Photos of Thessaloniki during the German occupation", "The difficulties of protest", "Vasilis Hatzianandreou", "Memories of the old bookstores of Thessaloniki", "Thessaloniki Municipal Library", "Stavroupoli, my nocturnal homeland", "Dimitriou Poliorkitou Street", "The cats of our house", "Yenti Koule", "Forty Churches", "My friends from Serres", "My friends from Polygyros", etc.
