Because aesthetics is the ethics of the future, because aesthetics is not the ethics of the present, because the ethics of the Greek present is deception, because aesthetics has no presence here in Greece, because in Greece the past is present, because this past has no future, because the future is generally indefinite everywhere in the world except Greece where it is definitive as it is deadly, because art is a consolation and a refuge from misery and wretchedness, because misery and wretchedness have prevailed in Greece in recent years, because politics lacks aesthetics because it lacks ethics, because many artists lacking substantial aesthetic education attempt to engage in politics to lose even the little aesthetic education they had, because we want to protect them from this disaster, for all these reasons and many others, engagement with art in Greece becomes an urgent problem.
