I replaced a similar one that had yellowed and looked terrible. This one was very easy to install in place of the other, the blinds open with a slight delay, it looks nice in the space, and its price was very satisfactory compared to other similar ones. For now, I am satisfied with the choice, but more time is needed to evaluate it more accurately.
I chose this fan because it has both a flap and shutters for better odor control coming from the neighboring apartment.
The shutters work properly. After turning it on, they open and close after about half a minute of operation and half a minute after turning it off.
As for the flap, it does not have an automatic mechanism to open and close. It is supposed that the air blown by the fan lifts the flap covers, so when the air goes out and you close the fan, the covers return to their position with a small spring it has. However, the air blown is not strong enough to lift the covers, resulting in the air essentially flowing backward. I completely removed the flap (it comes off very easily).
One observation: I installed the fan on the bathroom ceiling, so the air should have enough force to lift the flap covers upward. Maybe if it is installed on a wall, so the covers have to open horizontally, there would be no issue and they would open normally.
Otherwise, it is a decent fan, relatively quiet. It significantly reduces the smells and conversations that could be heard from the neighboring apartment. However, not completely.
