Plasmacluster Ion Formation

Positive and negative ions are created through plasma discharge. Ions have a positive or negative charge. To ionize the water and oxygen in the air, Sharp came up with the idea of using plasma discharge to give the water a positive charge and the oxygen a negative charge. Through plasma discharge, in which an electric voltage is applied to the discharge electrode, positive hydrogen ions (H2) and negative oxygen ions (O2) are created from the water and oxygen in the air.

Plasmacluster Ion Action

The positive (H2) and negative (0) Plasmacluster ions attach to the surface of airborne viruses and other substances and are converted into OH chemical radicals. With their extremely strong oxidative power, the OH chemical radicals quickly extract hydrogen (H) from the protein on the surface of the viruses and other substances, thus decomposing the protein and suppressing its action. The surface of bacteria and allergens is mainly composed of proteins. Removing the hydrogen atom (H) from this structure deactivates the unwanted substance. Additionally, the OH chemical radical binds with the removed hydrogen atom (H) to immediately form water (H2O), which returns to the air.
