Description

"All animals are equal to each other.
But some are more equal than others."
Mr. Jones, the owner of Manor Farm, is lazy and loves alcohol so much that one day he forgets to feed his animals. The rebellion that follows, led by the pigs Napoleon and Snowball, leads to the animals taking over the farm. After swearing to eliminate the great inequalities that prevail, they name the farm Animal Farm and reorganize it for the benefit of all. All the animals imagine that this is the beginning of a life with freedom, equality, and justice. However, gradually, a ruthless elite begins to take control. Soon, the other animals realize that they are not as equal as they initially believed and realize that they are trapped in a new form of tyranny. The ideals of the revolution are distorted and forgotten. And then, something new and unexpected appears...
"It is the story of a revolution that took the wrong path..." Orwell said about the first edition of Animal Farm in 1945. Orwell wrote this particular novel in late 1943, but it almost remained unpublished due to his harsh criticism of Stalin, who at that time was an ally of Britain, which led to its rejection by publishers. Since then, this captivating, tragic allegory has become a classic read worldwide.
