  My little one played a lot with the cube, especially with the metal side that has the balls. Because it doesn't "stick" with the rest of the game, you simply place it on top and play with it as a separate game. After the first week, part of the wood started to come off and today I found a piece of wood in my little one's mouth. It would have been much better if it was plastic.

It keeps his interest with the various activities, and although I thought it was made of plastic, it actually seems to be very well constructed. The only downside is that the two pieces don't click together to secure in any way, but they essentially look like two separate toys. I was a little worried since the child is 12 months old (which is mistakenly mentioned on the screw that it is intended for), but the box states it is for 18 months and older. However, the one-year-old is happily engaged with it.
