The changes in the assessment method of the Modern Greek Language course and, primarily, our love for this subject led to the creation of the book you are holding in your hands.

Our main concern is to offer valuable educational material so that the teacher can achieve their teaching goals and the student can develop their language skills both in understanding and processing a text, as well as in producing speech.
To achieve this purpose and to help students develop a writing technique, we continue to apply the teaching proposal of the second-grade high school books for speech production and concept presentation.

We emphasized summarizing part of the text, the detailed presentation of all text types
(essay, article, column, speech, review, interview, diary) at the level of understanding, processing, and speech production. Emphasis was also placed on the transformation and comparison of texts with detailed applications of all cases.

Complete theory for Modern Greek Language (persuasion, methodology of microtext composition, paragraph, language functions, text transformation-comparison, speech production) with numerous exercises for each phenomenon.

The concepts cover the thematic cycles of all high school grades. Their presentation is complete and given in detail, so that students can overcome the difficulty of developing an idea within a paragraph.

The assessment criteria correspond to the new system (summarizing part of the text, True/False questions, speech production in 350-400 words). In both the theory and assessment exercises, a more substantial approach to the theory of the course is attempted by combining theoretical issues such as persuasion and text types, language issues and their intended communicative goal, language choices of the sender, and text types. Naturally, each phenomenon's theory is accompanied by applications with model answers.
