Lighthouses are monuments of cultural heritage and should be treated, managed, maintained, and promoted as such.

The book "Greek Stone Lighthouses" by Gisis Papageorgiou is a universally recognized bibliographic success, as it not only documents all the stone-supervised lighthouses of our homeland with their history, but also artistically depicts all the lighthouses by the author with drawings, sketches, and watercolors. Thus, we have a book of high aesthetic value and great historiographic significance.

The first two editions of the book have been sold out for years. This current third edition is the result of a joint publishing collaboration between the Hellenic Institute of Maritime History and the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation.
