The device is amazing. I bought it in 2020 and it still runs games perfectly, the only downside is that it can't handle very heavy games like gta5 and others of that category. However, it runs easier games like super mario, zelda flawlessly.
In the past, I had other consoles. This one has not pleased me. The switch sports is nice but overall for other games it is better to get a ps5/4 or Xbox. It does not have a wide variety of games and sometimes it freezes in the middle of the game.
Someone writes above 'call me crazy, I have an Xbox but I also bought the Switch'. I have something to say, I am even crazier because I have both a PS5 and an Xbox, but my goodness, this console has something different that pulls you in and makes you want to play... it's the titles, it's the nostalgia from Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, etc; I don't know. I bought the switch in 2018 as my first console. With today's data and games like doom eternal or Mortal combat that came to the switch, I would recommend with these 300€ to get an xbox series s (better performance in games, better graphics, larger game library, etc). Apart from that, it is a huge upgrade from the wii u
I have had it for 1.5 years, at first it was freezing a lot but now I can't download anything because it constantly crashes and if I try to enter a game, it throws me an error, disappointing.
If you are a fan of the specific games that Nintendo has, you don't have an alternative. However, as a console for 300€, it is simply unacceptable. Cheap build quality, outdated technical specifications, mediocre resolution and graphics in its games, crashes and low fps in several of its good titles. The controllers are not convenient for large hands. The games and accessories are very expensive.
If you need a portable console for outside, okay... maybe for some people. But for indoor use, when you can play the Series S for example at the same price, I don't see the reason for its existence, just to play a Mario and a Zelda
If not the best purchase I've made, then one of the best. It's a console that you can take anywhere and also connect to the TV. However, the build quality feels a bit plasticky, but it's sturdy enough. Additionally, the stand on top of the console is not good at all (mine broke within 4 months).
2. The games it has are very good but very expensive (a Nintendo game costs 60-70€) and there isn't a great variety.
3. Besides the high price of the games, there are also the Joy-Cons, where one set costs 90-100€, but it's justified with so many capabilities. Fortunately, the subscriptions are very cheap compared to other consoles like PlayStation.

Perfect purchase. I got it on Black Friday for just €268 and I can say that it is by far the best purchase I have made.
The controller is very original. It can be used in 3 ways:
A. With the left and right joy-cons of the console, so you can use the screen as a portable device and play anywhere.
B. With the joy-cons placed in a controller grip, creating a separate controller that is quite convenient for gaming.
C. With the joy-cons functioning as 2 separate small independent controllers, allowing for multiplayer gameplay. Recommended for games like Mario Kart 8.
The console is particularly original and seems durable. For good measure, I also bought a plastic case that is available in the market and fits perfectly.
I recommend trying it with the following perfect games:
1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
2. Mario Party Superstars
3. Super Mario Odyssey
4. The Legend of Zelda
5. Metroid Dread
I have had it for two years. It has some good games. Basically, the only thing worth mentioning is that you have to get it because no other company has released a handle game console except for Nintendo (and some minor game offers). I will mention something tragic that I noticed recently... While I have Xbox One X and Xbox Series X, PS4 Pro, etc., any game I traded for download from one console to another, I immediately took my save games from the internet server... Oh, guys, Nintendo is terrible (having the lite version, almost for free from a friend)... To let you do this obvious thing (transferring saves from one to the other just by deleting the save in the first, that is, free only by cutting off). However, to get the save from the server and have it on both consoles, you have to be in the paid subscription... Unbelievable but true... People are not playing, I burst into nervous laughter. I couldn't continue playing my game on the lite console I have at work that I have on the main console at home. And to finish, in a few words, let's leave the inappropriate talk aside. At least ten years behind compared to other companies. They make a mountain out of a molehill in this company.
For handheld consoles it's okay. It does struggle with games that have good graphics though. I wouldn't even consider connecting it to the TV, it's completely pointless. If you want something like that, get an Xbox or PlayStation. The only reason to get it is to play Mario and Pokemon, which personally I don't like either of.
In my opinion, the Nintendo Switch is by far the worst console. Firstly, it's shameful to consider the Switch a successful console when it lacks important features such as voice chat, folders, a browser, themes, and has an overall poorly designed menu. Even the 3DS and Wii U had these functions. Secondly, Nintendo has made a huge mistake and has shown that they don't care about their followers, I'm referring of course to the online subscription, which means paying to play online while on the Wii, DS, 3DS, and Wii U it was completely free. Finally, it's unacceptable to add Bluetooth support in 2021 when the console was released in 2017.
Supposedly, I bought it for my son and I can play more too. Excellent console that personally takes me back many years. Great for both young and old kids.
Awesome console, I got it to play Breath of the Wild, but after finishing it, I started playing the other Nintendo giants. Very good construction, the joy-cons once you get used to them, enhance the gaming quality and are also fun. Nintendo knows what they're doing, unfortunately there aren't as many franchise games as on other consoles, and their prices are a bit steep.
I've had the Nintendo Switch for 3 years now and I really don't know what to say about its functions or when you put it in the dock to play, or about the wide variety of games like, for example, Metroid Dread which is one of my favorite games on the Nintendo Switch. This is a great arcade machine, I wanted it for both travel and home to hang out with friends. It has many games and although they are used, the good thing is that they are sold at almost the price of a new one, so it's not a big deal. It's worth trying out.

Amazing console. My daughter and I have been playing it non-stop. The games are kid-friendly and fun, with great graphics and gameplay. Words cannot express how satisfied I am.
Very disappointed with the purchase. I have been a PS user for years and I have to say that it doesn't compare to anything in any aspect.

I bought it for my daughter a year ago and it's truly amazing! You can choose how to play (handheld, table top mode, TV mode) and all of it on one console. I got it for around 270 euros and it was worth it and more. My daughter (14 years old) loves it, but I also play with her whenever I get the chance! It's perfect for traveling, relaxing on the couch in the afternoon, and even a little gaming after dinner! I chose this one because of the better battery, and I recommend you do the same. I believe it's better to get the Nintendo Switch than a Sony or Microsoft console because Nintendo has higher quality games and will truly impress you. The joy-cons haven't presented any problems for me so far, but if you're the type to spend most of your time with the Switch on the TV, I think it's necessary to get a Pro Controller. Of course, to make a good evaluation, you have to talk about the games too. I particularly loved Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario Odyssey, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Fortnite, Metroid Dread. The games are a bit expensive... If you decide you want your games in digital format only, then you'll definitely need a Micro SD card of at least 64 GB. Don't be afraid and buy it, either for yourself or for one of your loved ones, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
Having had the switch for almost a year, I thought it was time for me to give my own review. The construction is quite high quality and the joy cons are very convenient. It has a decent variety of games, but if you get Nintendo online, the NES and SNES games are a must! I highly recommend it!!!
After 3 (now) years of having the switch, nothing has happened to it, the joy-cons work perfectly fine, there is a small issue with the right one but it's not significant and you don't notice it when playing. It doesn't freeze at all, it doesn't heat up easily, and let's say that I have played for over 1500 hours and a little more on the switch, and it's like new. I don't understand why some people leave critical comments like: "I bought the switch and it's not worth it because it has so many Nintendo games and I don't like them, I want to play Fortnite, FIFA, etc." If you wanted to play those games, you should have bought a PS or Xbox, I'm not saying you can't play them here, but not with the same FPS and graphics quality, etc. Also, some people complain about paying to play online in certain games like Mario Kart, while it was free on the 3DS and Wii U. Yes, I agree, but the servers were worse. You might ask how I know, well, I had a 3DS XL, so before buying, you should know what you want. So far, I have completed Zelda (I'm playing it for the third time now) and Odyssey (update: I finished Metroid), I still play many other games like Mario Kart, Mario Strikers, Pokemon Violet, Super Mario U Deluxe, and more. I also wanted to mention something for those who will buy it now: It heats up and makes noise in the first few days, as I have understood from friends and myself. If you're going to play online, it's better to get the expansion pack. Your first game should be Zelda: Breath of the Wild, don't make the mistake of getting it with black joy-cons like me, and finally, get the 2019 version because of the better battery life. (Oh, and also consider an extra cost for a micro SD, preferably 128GB).
Now I will talk about the technical aspects because many people are interested in them: 1. Graphics and resolution: Most Nintendo games will run at 60fps, while third-party games will run at 30fps, with some exceptions. If you have it in handheld mode, it will output at 720p, while on the TV it will output at 1080p with better graphics. 2. To connect it to the TV, you need the dock (a base) that takes up very little space. Finally, battery life: Depending on the game you're playing, for example, if you're playing Zelda, it will last 2-3 hours, while in a less demanding game, it will last 5-6 hours.
Lastly, I want to say that you should get the switch not because you can take it everywhere or because it's the best handheld at a regular price and not 1000€, but for its exclusives and the magic that its games offer. That's all from me. I hope you have a beautiful day!
It's good, but not for games like Fortnite, but for games like Zelda it's good. The only thing that bothered me was the joy-cons because they broke very quickly.
It's not the best.... If you want it for exclusive games and because you can take it anywhere, go for it, but I recommend the Steam Deck when it comes out in Greece or the Xbox Series S :) Oh, and you should know that it needs maintenance every year. I bought it and wasted 400 euros on repairs for the Nintendo, so good luck.

A console that doesn't run games at 60 fps during this period seems unthinkable to me. At least there should be a frame limit at 30 so that we don't get hyped in story cutscenes and the actual gameplay doesn't freeze and have a stutter effect. It's too heavy for a handheld and it tires the hand. Additionally, something is missing from the touchscreen, it doesn't feel very real-time responsive and has a slight delay (relative to the pressure applied)
I chose this console specifically because of the Super Mario games. There is minimal to nonexistent violence.
I bought it for my son, who of course loves it.
I believe it is a one-way street for children under 12 years old...
However, it will definitely meet the needs of adults and not just children!

You don't buy the Switch for its performance. It cannot be compared to Xbox & PS5.
If some people think that by buying it they will have 4500fps..& 16K resolution like in the consoles that cost 600-700 euros that I mentioned above.. they should not buy it.
You buy it for its unique titles. MARIO.. ZELDA.. POKEMON.. that have no equal anywhere.. even in the 84th remake, when they arrive, they will captivate us.. They have a different charm.
I have bought a second pair of joy cons.. I have bought the incredible in its use and comfort, PRO CONTROLLER... we have about 10 titles (all kids friendly) and all 4 of us enjoy gaming.
With one move, it becomes portable... IT HAS SAVED ME!!! The bickering among the children has been eliminated... Does one want to watch TV and the other play Super Mario? CHHAAAKKK... with one move, peace is restored! Thank you Nintendo. I hate society for not telling me and everyone was lying to drown out their pain...

Purchased at 257€, I consider it a very good opportunity, especially since the Lite is currently priced at 200€ and the OLED at 400€+.
First of all, you should keep in mind that flagship games cost around 50€ per game, and if you want them digitally, you'll need an additional memory card of at least 64GB. So, if you buy 2 games and factor in the memory card, you'll easily reach an extra 100€ on top of the initial cost.
The device is of good quality. The screen is noticeably darker than the OLED, which is one of the main selection criteria if price difference doesn't bother you. The battery lasts comfortably for over 4 hours, especially if the game isn't too demanding. It's a bit heavy and bulky for a handheld, especially for a child. It has a built-in stand, not very sturdy but it does the job of keeping the screen steady while playing with just the Joy-Cons.
For children, it's an ideal console with plenty of child-friendly games and YouTube. It also has titles for adults, such as DIABLO, Dark Souls, Final Fantasy, etc.
The package includes the TV dock, HDMI cable, and a controller for the Joy-Cons.

Excellent choice to play unique games. The aesthetics in most cases surpass the "average" graphics. The term "average" is in quotes because it is anything but average. At first, I was afraid that the games would not look good on a 4K 50" TV, but they look great. With the right selection, you will play beautifully, while there are many options in the Nintendo Store and many discounts for those who complain about prices. You can easily connect your PayPal account and add money so that purchases can be made immediately. If you are interested in the handheld mode, choose the OLED version. You will definitely need to get a micro SD for extra space no matter which one you choose. As for construction, it is not something special in terms of quality, but it is very small, compact, and discreet. It is worth it for both kids and adults 100%!
