Description

In this unique hybrid of biography and memoir, David Lynch speaks for the first time about the life he lived in pursuit of his singular vision, as well as the disappointment he experienced and the struggle to realize his groundbreaking plans.

Lynch's lyrical, unfiltered personal thoughts are interwoven with the biographical sections written by his close collaborator, Kristine McKenna, which are based on over a hundred impressively candid new interviews granted to her by former spouses, family members, actors, agents, musicians, and Lynch's collaborators, each of whom has their own perspective on what happened.

Fascinating introduction to the life of David Lynch, one of the greatest directors (and not only) of at least the last 50 years. Very imaginative is the presentation of each section, first as a biography through interviews with relatives, friends, and collaborators of Lynch, and immediately afterwards as his own memoirs.
