After a lot of research and taking into serious consideration the reviews, I bought it 3 weeks ago. Its construction inspires confidence. It withstands strong winds, tested in the area of Alexandroupolis in winds up to 6 Beaufort. It doesn't move at all. I have also purchased a hammer, 32mm, which makes the installation and support of it a breeze. I have tried it without the hammer as well, without any problems whatsoever. The truth is that many people asked me what brand the umbrella is, because most of the ones you usually see are Maui. Because I also own a Maui, I can confidently say that they have several differences in terms of stability. It fits comfortably in my trunk, a Toyota Corolla sedan. Its shade is enjoyable and worth the purchase, especially when children sit under it. I am at your disposal for any clarification
Guys, the umbrella has great shade and seems quite sturdy in construction. Unfortunately, after a year of light use, it got destroyed in its first test in strong wind in Serifos. Specifically, the axes are connected to the trunk with an internal metal cylinder which broke. Not repairable damage. It is not as durable as advertised, therefore overpriced
I recently bought it and I have to say the best things about it, as it was tested directly on 5-6 hours without tying it anywhere. While everyone was holding on, I didn't even touch it. It also seems that you don't boil from underneath.
Purchase on 1/8/2023, test on the male, together with percussion, in a size 5 with only one fastening, couldn't understand anything. I believe it is the best choice at the price of 49 euros. As for the weight, petite women can easily carry it. It remains steady even in strong wind and can lift the percussion if placed on sand
The umbrella is very durable, it is truly unbelievable to me to believe those who say that it broke, without of course questioning them. With winds of 6+ Beaufort on the ropes, combined with a sturdy base and we didn't worry at all.
It is a very high-quality construction, evident from the first contact. It has already been tested in strong winds and, as others have written, it doesn't budge. I didn't give it 5 stars because I am concerned about the point where the spokes connect to the fabric. The "pockets" that hold the ends of the spokes should be reinforced. There is a risk of them tearing and the metal passing through the fabric. It is a design problem. The rigidity of the umbrella may ultimately prove to be a disadvantage. I am already looking for ways to reinforce these areas of the fabric.
Edit 8/25/2023: The metal profile of the spokes ends in plastic caps in the "pockets." This way, there is no chance of sharp metal coming into contact with the fabric. Having tested it for 2 summers now, I give it a 5-star rating.
There is no point as long as this umbrella exists, someone should get another one. I bought it for 70 and I am completely satisfied, if you find it cheaper, instant buy!
When all the umbrellas on the beach turn and break, this one doesn't even move. I have had it for 3 years and it is fantastic. I don't believe there is a stronger one. And if it ever breaks, I will buy the same one again
Very good umbrella. Rich shade. Easy to set up. Holds well, without any defects. I would characterize the purchase as very good. Its metal parts are reliable and look reliable. However, there are some points that would make it completely perfect if they had been implemented by the manufacturing company. And I explain:
a) Its plastic parts could appear more qualitative, they have the necessary elasticity but they look cheap.
b) I consider the existence of a tilt mechanism for the umbrella necessary so that it leans where the sun is. This way, we would have ease in moving the umbrella so that we don't have to set it up again and again at an angle based on the position of the sun. However, in this angled system, reinforcements are required.
c) The presence of holes on the frame would be good so that it can be held either by the trunk or by the metal arms.
d) The point where the umbrella arms "connect" with the fabric should have much better reinforcement with a different fabric, for example, Cordura, in order to avoid any potential tearing from friction.
The umbrella is unbeatable!!! Everyone ties their umbrellas with ropes so that the wind doesn't take them away, but we don't even bother. This is the second summer we have been using it from June until the end of August (we live next to the sea) almost on a daily basis, and I can say that it is worth every last euro!
After so many reviews, I decided to get it too...and boy, was I right!
If it doesn't have more than 2 horsepower, it's an amazing choice, especially when combined with a car that can accommodate it.
Good repairs and stitching!
The umbrella is not worth its money at all. I bought it this summer along with a beach chair while it seemed to be of good quality, but after a small gust of wind, the umbrella broke. The plastic joints dissolved, causing the metal ribs to bend, and the 70€ umbrella ended up in the trash.
I proceeded with the purchase of it after reading the positive comments here.
Cost 65€ + 35€ for a hammer I bought to install it.. total 100€.
On the first test on a beach with strong wind, I thought it wouldn't withstand anything according to the reviews I had read, but... it fell apart.
Specifically, 2 out of the 6 axes passed through the loop that held them and pierced the fabric like a skewer. I don't know if it can be sewn or repaired.
I want to emphasize that it didn't even last 1 hour..
Pure disappointment and wasted money.
The best for the beach ⛱!! No more Beach Bars, durable and stylish!
Update: After a gust of wind, it fell apart, while the people next to me were laughing! It's not worth the money.
Quite large sturdy construction, very good fabric together with a carrying bag, combined with the hammer umbrella, perhaps the best there is for the beach
Good umbrella, you pay double the money compared to others on the market, resulting in triple durability.
Update 20-6-22 For those who have issues with gusts of wind, they are absolutely right, but with 2 pieces of rope, each 1/5 meter long, tying 2 opposite spokes with stones or sandbags, it withstands even in 7 Beaufort winds, tested and proven.
Great umbrella for plenty of shade, definitely covers 3 people, maybe even 4. With a sturdy 32mm pole, you enjoy it like a king. The definition of you get what you pay for.
Extremely durable umbrella, quite large, but you might struggle if you're on vacation without a car, as it's quite a hassle and doesn't fit in all backpacks, it's the size of a golf club diagonally and all that. The wind doesn't bend it at all because the ribs are made of sturdy rectangular material (which is probably why it's heavy and bulky, even though it's aluminum). However, of course, it can still be lifted and damaged due to its weight when it falls. Nevertheless, because I experienced this myself when I hadn't secured it properly, it can be fully disassembled and repaired. One of the ribs got bent and came out of the axis in the center on top. I only needed a screwdriver to loosen it and it was fully repaired. If it didn't have screws and had adhesive fastenings and points, I would have cried, I think that's very important.
The umbrella is the best purchase I have made!! Besides the fact that the sun doesn't pass through the special fabric, it doesn't budge in strong wind! While others hold onto their umbrellas, you relax and smirk!! Everyone asked me where I got it from!! Of course, with a bang!
In one word UNBREAKABLE! You touch it once and you're done. Of course, it comes with a 32mm hammer.
Update after 30 minutes: First of all, thank God we didn't kill anyone. The umbrella is so unshakeable that it lifted it along with the hammer. Luckily, at that time, no one was passing by or no car was on the road, otherwise I don't know what would have happened. The umbrella landed on a fence between two cars. So, everything was fine, but it slightly fell apart as the steel wire holding the ribs on the top canopy came out! It was fixed and everything went back into place. There are some small damages on the corners of the ribs from the impact with the ground and one slightly bent rib. It seems to be okay, but it will be tested in the next trial...
Umbrella for heavy-duty use, as indicated by its weight (requires a man to carry it), and it will definitely need an umbrella stand for trouble-free use. It is suitable for garden or beach use. If you are looking for something convenient, it may give you some difficulties, but with a stand, it will not disappoint you anywhere
You get what you give. With this umbrella and a 32mm sturdy pole, you are a king.
July 2021
This year I bought a second umbrella along with a second sturdy pole (4-member family with older children) to be comfortable. They fit diagonally in the trunk (although it's big), so I put them in a car roof box. The umbrellas, along with the sturdy poles, caught people's attention at the beach. A lady stopped and asked us where we got them from.
Attention! The umbrella has high sun protection (50+), but there is also sun reflection from the sand. If you have very fair skin like us and spend many hours at the beach, you may get burned even under the umbrella, especially during midday hours, so you need to use sunscreen. We didn't use sunscreen because we had a false sense of security and got burned under the umbrella. Of course, it wasn't the umbrella's fault, but ours for overdoing it.
I am amazed by this specific umbrella, mainly for its durability in the wind. While others bend and turn, this one stands strong! Combined with the sturdy 32mm pole, you won't even notice anything. The shade is enough for 3 people sitting in beach chairs.
The best umbrella I have ever worked with... While everyone else closes in the wind, this one doesn't even notice. It stayed strong in 6 Beaufort! It is expensive but worth its money, I have had it for 2 years!
