In this book, the authors aim to present the techniques of data collection and analysis in research, as well as the relationships that are created between social research, social theory, and social issues. The book consists of three parts. The first part analyzes the relationships between social science and scientific research, presents the basic methodological theories, the scientific principles on which the methodology is based, and the procedures for formulating the scientific hypothesis of the research. The second part analyzes the problems that arise in measuring observations in social research and the relationship of the method with various data collection techniques. Detailed reference is made to field research, its techniques and phases of development, as well as to the analysis and interpretation of the data that result from it. The third part analyzes the basic statistical techniques related to research, namely sampling techniques, statistical errors, statistical analysis, and presentation of data.
