I have had it for about a year now, mainly for music use. I connected the console to the card, the card to the desktop computer, and then back to the Logitech 5.1 speakers with a subwoofer through the aux port. You have no idea the result. The increase in sound, both in volume and quality, is about 60%, as when I switch sources and exit the card, the sound is completely low. It helped me, without spending much money, to give depth to a sound that was flatter before. Some say that the card is only for video games, but that is not accurate. It works for music and semi-professional recording as well. It's like having a good amplifier, here it's just built into the card, hence the equalizer.

  I'm amazed by the sound quality and of course the volume on Razer headphones and speakers that I use. The only downside is the plastic of the device. I expected aluminum because of the money it asks for. The software has many options and ready-made profiles depending on what you want to hear. It will take me a long time to process its functions and create my own profiles. My conclusion is that sound cards have nothing to do with the sound cards of motherboards and I found this out with this particular purchase. Also, I should mention that it will greatly help those who are into FPS games. ;-)

  I have paired it with the Philips Fidelio X2HR... I bought them together and they fit perfectly... before that, I had the onboard card with some Razer headphones that cost around 40-50 euros... the difference is chaotic... However, I need to judge it on its own and not together with the headphone upgrade... so:
  1. The volume of the sound has nothing to do with the onboard (much louder now).
  2. The sound quality is clearly better now... it's like having hi-fi speakers worth over 1,000 euros on my ears!!! If you have good headphones and play a proper file like flac, etc., that's where it shows its teeth. However, sound is subjective, so "play" with the software settings to achieve perfect results.
  3. It has several profile and equalizer options that do the job.
  4. As for surround sound, I can see a difference in movies and games, you can clearly distinguish where the enemies are.

  A tip I can give for headphones... first, set your headphones to direct mode 32-bit, 384KHz, and then create a profile with SBX on (for music) and in the equalizer, set it to music. Finally, in playback, set it to STEREO!!! (not 5.1, etc.)... and the bitrate, etc., again 32/384... first play your favorite song in direct mode and then, while listening to it, press the button (for direct mode) to make changes to SBX, and there you will see what the card does...
  Another tip (for those who use it on a PC and have Netflix) is to download the Netflix application on your PC and not watch it from the browser... you will get better picture and sound quality.
  I hope this helps... If your budget allows it, it's a good upgrade

  Worst connectivity. The sound quality is terrible. It was mainly used for fps games. Unfortunately, the software is problematic and the disconnections are constant. Every time I open Discord or a game, even when alt-tabbing sometimes, the card disconnects or freezes and requires reconnection. Many similar issues on many forums. It's a matter of luck whether it will work properly or be useless. I tried everything from troubleshooting, even updating the BIOS, but nothing. The only thing that helped was not having the software at all, which completely defeats the purpose, as everything is controlled from there. 100 euros wasted.

  The sound card is very good but I give it two stars and I have a reason!!!! So, while it has a very clear, powerful, and high-quality sound, it is only for headphones and a two-channel system if you have a good AV receiver that can provide you with 5 or 7 independent channels, you won't be able to use them with this specific card as it does not support decoding. Therefore, if you have a good system with an amplifier and 5.1 speakers and you want to watch a movie or get multiple independent channels from a game, it becomes useless!!! Just for this reason, I wouldn't spend money to buy it if I knew. Feel free to get it if you only have two good speakers or good headphones, you will be amazed at how well the sound plays!!!   Update 3: There are no connectivity issues after updating the motherboard BIOS. Since this was not a card issue, but a motherboard issue, I am giving it 5 stars.

  Update 2: If you still have connectivity issues, update the BIOS to the latest stable version of your motherboard.

  Update: If you have an x570 motherboard, update the USB drivers as there are USB connectivity issues with this specific motherboard. Also, update the G6 drivers.

  I bought the card after researching for a few days and reading the comments on Skroutz. The card is worth it and more. I hear sounds that I never heard with the onboard (realtek), my speakers are the Z5500 (Logitech) from which I only have 2 of the 5 satellites due to lack of space. For almost 15 years that I have them, the quality that the G6 produces is incredible. Anyone who wants an upgrade in their computer's sound (and not only), the G6 is a very good choice (if not the best), up to this day. My next step is to find more high-quality 2.1 speakers, there things are more difficult than with the sound card

  It is a good choice, and the truth is that in these price ranges there is no serious competitor, so it is the only option. Once you get a sound card, it is worth getting something good. It has a user-friendly software with a plethora of settings. It increases the volume, maybe even over 50%, to a degree that if you leave it at maximum, it can burn the speakers! So you are forced to lower their volume. It has around 10 noise reduction optimization effects, voice clear, crystalizer, surround effect, etc., as well as a very user-friendly equalizer. It also converts any stereo headset to virtual 7.1, which is particularly useful when playing multiplayer games, as you can accurately hear where the opponent is coming from and how far away they are. Finally, it has an optical input for devices that have optical input and do not have an aux input. As for the negatives, I will mention that it does not have inputs to connect 5.1 or 7.1 speakers with three output ports, such as front, rear, and subwoofer, like its predecessor, the Soundblaster XFi SB1. However, you can connect these three ports with a splitter that ends in a jack. Also, as a negative, it could be a bit cheaper.   Yesterday I received my own Sound BlasterX G6 along with the Sound BlasterX Katana to combine them for the best possible result.
  After opening the package, you will see the external card, an optical cable for connecting to a sound system, and a USB cable for connecting to PCs and consoles.
  Inside, you will also find all the detailed manuals on how to connect it, including a thank you letter from Creative.
  Once you connect the card to your PC, you will need to download the Sound Blaster Command application to perform initial updates and all the settings.
  The settings are truly endless, and it may be overwhelming at first, but you will get used to it and learn everything in half an hour, feeling like a professional sound system user.
  It comes with pre-installed settings ready for music, movies, and around 20 games.
  The program also includes settings for the card's RGB lighting.
  Truly, Creative has spoiled us.
  The RGB lighting on the card's logo can be fully adjusted to any color you can imagine, and it also offers 4 extra settings: steady, breathing, pulsating according to the volume, and RGB lighting in all colors.
  Now let's talk about the sound part and the test I conducted with a simple dB measurement application I downloaded on my phone.
  I should mention that I have the Sony Gold headphones, which are not bad, but not super impressive either.
  With those headphones, I noticed at least 10 dB more in a simple song on YouTube, not even a FLAC file where the card would surely shine.
  Without the card, I had to use the headphones at 100% and I wasn't as satisfied.
  Now, with the card, I truly believed I would go deaf.
  I was using the card at 60% and it was as if I had the headphones without the card at 100%.
  Above 90%, the card started to strain the headphones, and it made some cracking noises that it definitely wouldn't do with better headphones, but my poor ears started to complain as well.

  However, the issue is not just the increased dB, guys.
  The issue is how it enhances the 5.1 and 7.1 performance on your speakers and headphones.
  For example, on Netflix, in a series I was watching without the card, the rear sounds were relatively low in frequency and volume.
  With the card, you truly turn around and wonder if someone is behind you with a shotgun ready to take your soul.
  The card also has a convenient wheel on top for adjusting the sound and an instant mute button.

  Simply perfect kids smaller in size than the videos I watched on youtube. As soon as you unpack it, it has a thank you message from Creative, which was very important to me as a consumer. Now, what can I say about the card, the reviews speak for themselves, it is the best external sound card on the market for its price. I bought it for 125 and I haven't regretted it. The sound from the Gigabyte HD3 version 1.0 that I had became cleaner and louder on the Creative Kratos S3 2.1 speakers that I use. It makes a noticeable difference in the speakers for those with good ears. But where it really shines is with the headphones. It simply made my HyperX Cloud Core headphones sound like I'm in a cinema. I can't explain it because the sound cannot be conveyed in words. It became clear and because the sound card treats each speaker separately, which is unique, everything you hear has its own volume and accuracy. For games, the scout mode is simply cheating, especially in PUBG, CS GO, Warzone. I could hear the guy below the apartment building in a corner. What can I say? If you have the money, get it and you will remember me. Essentially, this purchase is for people who don't hear footsteps well in games, it's for people who want their headphones worth 20-60 euros to sound like 150 euro headphones. It may sound exaggerated, but it's not. Those who have bought the card can confirm it. It's for people who have speakers and want something better and clearer. It's for sound enthusiasts. Generally, when people talk about computers, they talk about graphic cards like 1080, 2060, etc. No one ever talks about sound, and we all need an upgrade. Essentially, it's like going from 720p to 1080p, but for your ears. I hope this helps.

  Some things I forgot to mention, with the program, when you use it on a computer (for those who use it), you can change your voice anywhere, and if you speak and it's good enough, for example, like a grandfather, an alien, a demon, a soldier, a squirrel, etc. It also has the Sound Blaster Connect 2 digital 5.1 and 7.1, and it basically fooled my stereo headphones into thinking I'm hearing 7.1. It works wonderfully, and there are different presets if you don't want to adjust the sound yourself. You can use the "movies" preset if you're watching movies, which is set by a professional sound designer from the company. The same goes for all the other presets.

  P.S.: For those of you who don't recognize your card, download the drivers and firmware from the Creative website. First, install the Connect 2 program, and then the firmware. An important step is when the firmware installation is complete, remove the card from the unit for 10 seconds and reconnect it. If the installation is not done correctly according to the Creative instructions, you will have occasional issues with the card's recognition by the Creative program. I'm saying this because I had the same problem, but after a proper installation, I haven't had any issues whatsoever.

  PS2: I connected the card to my PS4 slim. Honestly, there is a big difference. Everything works on the console except for the light that doesn't change and the direct mode. Before you connect it to the console, go through the program on your computer to set the settings you want because you can't change it through the console afterwards. You have to connect it to the computer again and make the changes. I played Rainbow Six Siege with the stereo headphones connected to the card and the virtual 7.1 of the card, along with the scout mode, helped me pinpoint the exact location of the enemy. Games with music like Persona 5 Royal took on a whole new dimension. The card is simply wonderful, even on a console.

  26-11-2020: The card connects and is recognized by the PS5. But when connected to the console with the USB, with the optical connection (I mean the optical cable), it is not recognized. It works the same as on the PS4. You plug it into the PS5, go to the settings, and adjust the sound output to "all sounds" to the headphones. Also, if there is no sound in the headphones, connect the USB of the sound card to the rear ports of the PS5, not the front. Of course, the headphones are connected to the sound card. Note that so far (according to a friend), the card does not work on Xbox X. So be careful.

  15-1-2021: I completely disabled the SBX mode of the card and now I use it with the direct mode. I did this because I paired it with Dolby Atmos for headphones for Windows 10 (costs 18 euros) and the sound experience became even clearer and "opened up the environment" in games and overall.

  27/2/2023: For anyone who still has the question, it still works perfectly and there have been so many updates that the card no longer experiences any freezes or bugs.
