Our difference is simply the contrast between two distinct ways of viewing the world, which have never managed to communicate or coexist since the beginning of time. They have been given a bunch of names, and my wife will tell you that it is the difference between Christianity and paganism. I may be a pagan, but I don't like the name, it sounds sinister. Regardless, she sees me as an ancient Greek, not any better. It is the difference between squeezing out as much life as you can and not squeezing it at all, so as to gain a better one in some other place and time. Is it a sin, I wonder, to squeeze out as much as you can from this one? And will we taste as many beautiful things in the future life as we do now?
